Because a lot of people who listen to underground metal also tend to like EBM, Dark Electro, Dark Ambient, Martial Industrial, etc. I thought it would be nice to dedicate a thread to these dark electronic arts. So please post your favorite songs/albums!
I will start with my absolute favorite electronic project of all time Ice Ages, created by Richard Lederer ('Protector' of Summoning) To this day there are three albums released namely: Strike The Ground (1997), This Killing Emptiness (2000) and Buried Silence (2008). Like with every project this man works on it goes without saying that the melodies contained within these songs are nothing short of brilliant, and in combination with the sombre voice it really takes you away to a place of utter desolation. All albums are good (especially the last two) but my favorite is This Killing Emptiness. It was the first thing I heard from this project and it was in a tough period where I also was just diving into electronic music, so it made a big impact on me.
Favorite song: Heartbeat

I'm a big fan of Ice Ages too, I still listen to the first two albums pretty frequently. This Killing Emptiness is great but I think I slightly prefer Strike The Ground. Ice Ages has so many excellent and downright catchy songs, I'm surprised it isn't more well-known.

Hehe, you are now officially the first person I 'know' who listens to Ice Ages I don't have a clue as to how well-known this project really is in the underground, but I guess enough people must at least know about it's existence because it's related to Summoning. In an interview from a couple of years ago Richard Lederer said he wanted to continue with the project, so let's hope that's still the case and a new work will see the light of day. After they finish up the new Summoning album ofcourse... Another dark electro project that's at the top of my list is yelworC, a legendary and highly influential entity in the electronic underground. Dis-cover & Con-trol (1989) - World Under Fire Brainstorming (1992) - Blood in Face Trinity (2004) - Doom of Choronzon

I've never listened Ice Ages but it sounds great so far. I used to listen to a lot of dark electro projects like Asphyxia, Damned Prayer, Say Just Words and Viscera Drip. There were also some great dark techno projects like Angels in Bondage, Elektrophile, Enrapture and Null Flux.

There was a project on Bandcamp years ago called Darktron that had a ton of great old school sounding EBM / Dark Electro releases. Sadly the page has been deleted along with all trace of its existence, except for the two releases I added to Discogs. If anyone happens to come across any of the other stuff, please let me know!

This is a pretty kool blog for those into obscure EBM and industrial stuff, a lot have some pretty dungeon-y aesthetics, especially the more italo-industrial tapes like Die Sonne Satan: gothindustrialebmsynth.blogspot.com/
