Yearner and Inwendt Faerte are in heavy rotation recently. Really hope LV comes back someday.

I'm only part of the way through the first track and it's already incredible. The restraint and minimalist approach so far is exactly what I like in DS. Looking forward to getting this on tape at the siege.

New Hedge Wizard! The cover art is awesome, and the music is sounding pretty fresh to my ears. More spacious and grand than the first album, but still a bit grimey. I'm not even done with the first listen yet though so can't say much more, but I am enjoying it. hedgewizard.bandcamp.com/album/neighborwoods

where do people stand on oldschool runescape (osrs) music as DS? anyway, found this Unpragmatic Covers project on youtube that uses osrs soundfont to cover popular songs www.youtube.com/@unpragmaticcoversweird mixture, but gives me that DS feeling

henrysimulator, Runescape music is brought up quite a bit as relating to DS, and for what it's worth I also think it has that sound as much as any game soundtracks. I played it a bit back in the day but don't have any nostalgia for the music. I always like it when I hear it though, and these covers sound really cool. I like the Mad World one, was actually just listening to original of that yesterday.

andrewwerdna glad you got something out of it. i checked out the new hedge wizard you linked; crazy it's been 10 years between releases. the album is quite a smorgasboard of sounds, I like it.

I noticed the Facebook thread asking about forgotten albums, and I was considering posting this, but I think it would go unnoticed there, The Wizard Murcec - The Mysterious Gateway: murcec.bandcamp.com/album/the-mysterious-gatewayI think it's still a very unique sound. I remember the artist had another project, but I can't seem to recall the name. I am wondering if the artist is still active?
