Arthuros's Ithildin was my album of the year for 2019 and his follow-up (which came out just hours ago), Kosmos, might very well be my album of the year for 2020. arthuros.bandcamp.com/album/kosmos

Listening to Medieval Rites - The Celtic Tavern : medievalrites.bandcamp.com/album/the-celtic-tavern I also listened some more of this artists releases too lately but I think this is the most spot on, as the title obviously implies, music for (Celtic?) Taverns. Straight to the point, it's exactly what you'd listen at the appropriate imaginary setting or in a computer RPG Tavern, very fitting for such a scenario/campaign/event and related activities.. Song I liked most would be "Lutes,Flutes,Friends and Beers"!

as long as I know, FB is the best way to get in touch with them. I will never use Facebook.
I've been asked a hundred times why there's no Aufhocker albums on their channel, and all I can say is that I don't know why. They ignored my email communication attempts. Perhaps they simply dislike the project.
I admire your anti-FB steadfastness, haha. There's a number of things that aren't up there that I think very well should be, might just be up to the uploader's personal preferences.

Earlier today I listend to Mortiis - The Song of a Long Lost Ghost. It can be repetetive, but the rhythms are nice anyway.

Earlier today I listend to Mortiis - The Song of a Long Lost Ghost. It can be repetetive, but the rhythms are nice anyway. I have no problem with repetitions, if they're made of straight-to-the-point melodies, interesting cycling of accents etc. Well done repetitive stuff could be very useful as mantras to go asleep, as well as for estranging, relaxing or meditative purposes. Because of this, I think the REAL value of the first Mortiis' album is to be found right in that dark/neomedieval obsessive melody (just 2/3 riffs for a 50 minutes album!!!!!).

So repetitive on the genre if it is enjoyable but NOT extended on purpose can be great. I also equally enjoy if not also 2 minute songs or less if the melody is great but not long enough to support a big length.. It depends on the track,atmosphere.. Np "The Sage of Witherthorn" by Khand khand.bandcamp.com/album/the-sage-of-witherthorn : This one is full of stuff, a lot of effort has been put into it and it shows... Various themes and passages(I even got Chaucerian Myth vibes from a track), I think everyone will find some tunes to their liking.. Attention here pays off, recommended, my personal fav song would be "Scroll of Gransu"...

Strongly recommended!

@ element0s Great to see people also appreciating this one, it is so packed up with little subtleties and attention.. Very much looking forward to this kind of detail!! By the way your album is also on my to playlist, I got it already from a promo code on FB pages, also very much looking towards listening to it in the correct instance!! Np ESTOC - Chapter I estoc1.bandcamp.com/album/chapter-i : This one has got lots of praise on its BC page and on FB posts repeatedly so I came in with high expectations.. After repeated very enjoyable listens I have to say it really is good, actually very enjoyable and "relaxing" fantasy with a total of 22 minutes of short tight songs that go straight to the point.. You will not find battle hymns here, nor songs to explore unknown lands and dark planes, rather you'll get (not unlike the "Celtic Tavern" I posted couple of posts earlier) a sense of ease and relax, the one you'd get at the local Inn while resting for the night and stuff.. I also didn't notice not a single track that I didn't enjoy/remove from playlist!

Listening to Criptadel - Extended I criptadel.bandcamp.com/album/extended-i The only thing that didn't engage me were both versions of Dungeon Dance, especially the second, but the rest three songs, the Mortiis cover and the other two, I thoroughly thoroughly enjoyed!! All in all very certainly worth of your time..

I know it's not even slightly obscure or underground, but I think Mortiis has really delivered an excellent record with Spirit Of Rebellion - I can hear a lot of industrial textures subtly underpinning the more trad DS elements, which he's obviously brought from his non-DS work. Really annoyed I missed him touring the UK in 2018 hopefully he's somewhere I can get to in Europe in the near future, doing Era I stuff. downloadmusic.mortiis.com/album/spirit-of-rebellion
