The inappropriately-named Northern Forest is another South American artist, from Brazil. His vast discography contains a lot of nature-themed DS stuff. Well, South America does have a northern forest. Quite the one, actually.

Dryads is from Mexico, and I feel like there are a couple more from Mexico, besides the one listed in this thread earlier, but I can't think of them at the moment.

Italy here and there are some others, even in this forum who hail from my country! Actually I don't know whether Italy is a late starter in ds or the best artists actually decided to devote themselves to other genres. While we have our fair share of great electronic projects, even pioneering some subgenres like death industrial and early industrial (MB, Atrax Morgue, Mauthausen Orchestra, Bad sector) we are definitely far behind other countries for what concerns dungeon synth.

Isn't Medhelan from Italy? If I'm correct, you guys have one of the best artists down there currently.

Italy here, too! If you know other Italian DS artists, labels, fans etc please let them know that a Dungeon Synth Italia web portal will be online very soon. It will be the VERY FIRST ONE written 100% in Italian!

But the scene is still quite dispersed and weak compared to for example the noise scene, much more cohesive and close with strong networks even if people involved are getting older and less productive. And sadly, I am in my mid twenties, the new guard, also for ds, has yet to emerge.

as an artist from California (not exactly a place known for dungeon synth) I feel as though my geographic location has actually hindered my recording. Although it is a very geographically appealing place, there is nothing about the town where I live that would inspire one to record music in the dungeon realm.
But what I really wanted to say was that I don't think anyone's mentioned Russian dungeon synth. Chevalier are absolutely killer!

Dalina from Belarus and Splendorius from Moscow are my favourites! RaevJager, Morketsvind and other projects are impressive too.

As some may be aware, I've been cataloging many of the DS releases of this year on the Rate Your Music site, over 160 so far, and I've noticed some trends. Lots of music coming from the US, Italy, and Canada, with a slightly less steady stream coming from the UK and France. Sweden has a presence as well, and surprisingly, so does Brazil. I have logged one release from Costa Rica, most intriguingly.

I'm from New Zealand so other than being the home of The Lord Of The Rings we don't have a lot going on regards DS as far as I'm aware. Couldn't name any NZ DS artists.
