A Dungeon-fest? Perhaps the answear is truely a festival, with black metal bands, or even famous dungeon synth artist, playing live (if they do?) But i guess that if we wanna meet up, then we can go to a metal festival which is mainly black metal. There was festivals like Ragnar rock fest (which is happening 2 days from now) which combine folk metal, black metal, and regular folk. www.ragnard-rock.com/en/home/of course it takes the idea of "live dungeon synth" but still, it will be nice to meet people who are into dungeon synth in person.

I've done a few live shows as Svartedauden in the past, one in a basement and a couple at a local venue. It really does help that it's a two-man project, though, as we can have varied sounds and more layers than a single person with a keyboard could achieve (although I've been thinking about doing something like that in the future, very very stripped-down). We just set up couple of keyboards to amplifiers/PA system and played our songs, with lights dimmed and a lot of candles lit. We wore robes (really cheap ones, not that nice to look at but cheap) and spoke very little between songs. We even have a banner of the group name in runes. For a couple of the shows the audience sat on the floor and got to zone out to the music - despite being on a stage it was very intimate with the low light and dungeon synth atmospheres. I think that if you can do it somewhere a little unconventional like a basement or an attic where you can be close to the audience and surround them in ambiance then you can really make it work. You wouldn't happen to have any recordings of your live shows, would you? I second this question, that sounds absolutely fantastic. I have yet to witness anyone doing dungeon synth live and would just love to see this setup. In response to a few other comments, I've done death industrial live as a partnership using backing tracks with each of us just playing one synth part (with vocals). I think live sequencing is somewhat overrated as all it does is give another possible failure point (I've been playing live music a long time, and the biggest issues have always been mechanical/technical failures, not performer fuckups). Simple looping is a lot easier to work with, and best option is playing as many of the parts live as possible without having to trigger samples or match midi clock tempos: thus, why I use a backing track. I guess I've also done a few dungeon synth style sets back in the day when I would do loop station drone shows. One keyboard with various keys taped down, another keyboard plugged into a loop station, an open-tuned bass that I hit with a mallet... very little room for songs to progress fluidly with this kind of setup though.

Here's a recent Nahadoth live performance. The loop/delay pedal I was using crapped out as I was setting up, so I had to borrow a friend's Line6 and learn to use it very quickly, but it worked out mostly OK. (I trimmed the three minutes off the beginning where the loop pedal was not cooperating.)

This seems a real solid next step in the realizations talked over in this thread. What we need now is someone with a go-getter personality and some promotional skills... Anyone out there brave (& organized) enough to take up the mantle? I would like to see this happen

Yeah my one friend is slowly editing that up How's the video coming along? He’s evidently starting today. His car’s been broken down and causing some stress so I’m trying to be generally patient with him

I like the idea of Live DS show, I think there is a good future for this and there is a history of keyboard acts doing this since ages i.e. Tangerine Dream and Coil. The key is to create the right atmophere and take it from there.
