It was suggested for a second time in a year to create a proper DS forum. Let's give it a shot. If it sticks, great.
I don't expect there to be any moderation except for the usual NO SPAM and NO HATE SPEECH. As time progresses and the community organizes itself we will revisit (if necessary) any forum "rules". Otherwise just follow simple forum etiquette. However, there will be at least one other mod added, perhaps more in the future.
Some adjustments will be made to the board over the next few days to make this place look less sterile.
Hopefully we can all make something out of it.

Sometimes /mu/ has a dungeon-synth thread. We could try posting about this forum there.

Be interesting to see how this works out. Hopefully it gets enough traction to really solidify investing money into it.

Really want the forum to get active. Perhaps 'dungeon-ing' the layout a bit would draw users? (more black)

Well, most of /dsd/ is probably in here by now, and you can count Erang (fucking Erang) among your members; I'd say mission accomplished.

Hey.. I saw yesterday the post on reddit about the forum and returned today to register, bookmarked at first sight.
First of all, regarding Dungeon Synth I'm just now starting to explore it since I discovered it, through Metal blogs and posts repeatedly.. Already done some homework with Depressive Silence and youtube posted stuff and now trying to seriously explore the best of it for a good start. Congratulations for the forum and I hope it serves the genre well creating another place of resource and reference for the genre.
As for me, as probably some of you too,I have grown up playing a lot of (mostly computer) RPGs , reading classic fantasy, horror and Sci fi books and watching related movies. Musically while listening to many things (besides Metal, a lot of Electronic, Trance, Ambient, Computer Music etc.) our taste is probably the same with some people here I hope on DAILY DOSE of Summoning and bands like them, Burzum's ambient pieces or Lustre and in general stuff with atmoshpere.
Regards from some Haunted Southern Shores...

I'm glad to see a dedicated Dungeon Synth forum despite all the nay-sayers on FB. Just do it and keep up with it. Spread word of it & trade links where you can and surely the community and site traffic will grow. ...and we can say we were there at the beginning of the DS forum!

I think it's a wonderful idea, and I'm already really enjoying my time here. I love the Facebook group too, but this definitely feels more "home-y" to me, and just being active on a forum gives me a huge nostalgia rush. I've actually got this set as my homepage now so I can keep up with it whenever I'm on my computer.

What I prefer to forums over FB and Reddit is that conversations can remain active for days if not weeks at a time, in some cases even years.

Awesome! Glad to see you here! What I prefer to forums over FB and Reddit is that conversations can remain active for days if not weeks at a time, in some cases even years. Exactly, I couldn't agree more. Plus I feel like discussion tends to get more in depth. With Facebook there's always this feeling of urgency with me because everything is so interconnected and fast moving. With forums I feel like I can take my time and really think about responses, which is nice because I like to type a lot.

This will be a good place for the 'scene'. I find FB to be pretty stress inducing overall too. Glad to be here.
