Anyone into Yellow Eyes? Probably my favourite contemporary BM act. Their sound is unmistakably unique and the way they produce and release their music is remarkable imo.

I'm not familiar with their (his) previous albums, I have listened to them briefly some time ago, but this new stuff litterally blew me out. Anyway, mind the difference between part I and II: the first one is a wonderful atmospheric black metal album, the second is 100% acoustic, really well made americana / country folk. I got into him in high school through his album Kentucky, which alternates between atmospheric black metal and bluegrass tracks.Β I would check out the previous works for sure. Listening again to "Scars of man...", this album is wonderful!

Starting to really appreciate Beherit's Black Metal stuff. Not a fan of the "electronic" albums in the middle of the discography, but getting into "Drawing Down the Moon" & "Engram". Still need to check out the EP's before and after the debut.
Also heard Caladan Brood for the first time about a week ago. Delightful.

Also heard Caladan Brood for the first time about a week ago. Delightful. You are a lucky human. Listening to Caladan Brood for the first time is something I wish I could relive ! Such great it is,deserving all the praise it gets and being up there next to all of the greatness of Summoning, I think that says it all. Too bad they haven't realeased anything yet besides the monumental album that it is Echoes of Battle. Also note, that the vinyl version of it has two great/add words of more greatness here/ covers of Summoning, The Passing of the Grey Company and Matching Homewards and finally another beyond great cover on the Dec 2016 Summoning tribute, of "Farewell" which is a must listen.

I actually discovered Caladan Brood because they were mentioned alongside another band I recently discovered called Gallowbraid. I adore them as well, but they drive me crazy because they only have 3 full length songs and 2 folky interludes. I'm fine with the content, I just want more of it. I also had downloaded the Summoning covers after purchasing the album because I needed more. All of their stuff is lovely.

It's alright. I haven't spent much time with Nattefrost's solo stuff, but Carpathian Forest is one of my favorite Black Metal bands so that new album can't come soon enough!

'Drawing Down The Moon' is one of my top faves, was obsessed with it for a while. The 'Demonomancy'demo and 'Dawn Of Satan's Millenium' EP are essential too.

Sun Worship. Great atmospheric BM from Germany. Checking on these guys since I last bought their Surpass Eclipse EP in 2013. It had a fair amount of boominess in the mix that I though interesting, it caught me right from the start. Despite their obvious different production budgets, compare the demo with their last album and everything else in between, they all sound good and their style remained very cohesive. I admire that.

This is fantastic. Surprised I never came across this band before.
