Prog Rock, & Industrial music were my introduction. My fathers old record collection spanned multiple genres but the Prog Rock, & 80's Synth Pop were some of his most played when I was growing up.

I don't know if this falls under this category but for me my whole obsession with various electronic genres comes I guess from childhood 80s memories with the classic albums of Jean Michel Jarre ! Oxygene and Equinox that is.. I feel lucky for listening to them at such an early age really Now that I think about it, my first encounter with the electronic genre was also Oxygene, even though I was born long after it was made. My father had it on a hard drive we would have in our car, and we would listen to it on long drives. I remember feeling like we are hovering through a galactic/alien metropolis. Until now I haven't considered how this has influenced my sense of music..
