Ned with a pulverizing motion whips his slings around in the air. normally, man would just pick up loose rocks they would find on the ground. Ned however has spent time looking at rocks and has found the ones that fly int he face of Kobolds. Ned's rock smashes the kobold between the lizard like eyes and with an unearthly scream. The kobold drop to its knees with an arcane mist escaping its body. At the same moment Nes swings his weapon and trips over the falling kobold corpse and finds himself on top thrashing wildly at what appears to be nothing.
An elf makes his way through the crowd eyeing all of you suspiciously with his bow drawn but soon relaxes his tension seeing the kobold is dead and there seems to be some sort of mad cleric preforming a ritual on top. The crowd around the incident is slowly dispersing when a town guard comes rushing through towards the group. All the while talking, the group is keenly aware of a cloaked figure hanging around the perimeter. You never noticed him before but he is long past overdue for interest in this situation. Everything else around the outside of the taverns is normal. A couple of well wishers are offering you free drinks in the local tavern. One old man pleads for your intervention with a couple of ruffians at his shop.
The crowd of gawkers continue to pool around the adventures only broken by the distant commands of the town guard.
Good sirs! He yells in a huff trying to find men. The guard needs more men (breathes) in the south quarter. (breathes) Very big (coughs) monster. I heard you took care of these things. He kicks the kobolds corpse unsettling contents from his leather jerkin.
That's for Cornelius! He yells passionately.
((Ned, Nes, & Veldeen are in the outside party. Ky is in the hallway of the tavern engaged in a deadly game of cat and mouse. The outside party is unaware of Ky and his actions))

Ky the halfling with almost deadly accuracy jumps out of the shadows with his father jeweled dagger.

The outside group during this commotion also heard a scuffle coming from inside from what sounds like a halfing missing his mark by a million miles.

I don't even stop to think about this half-assed attempt at an attack and I already go for it again, this time I grab him violently before tickling his neck with my blade. As I attack the vagrant in peril of life I have a flashback of my fighting training in my youth, in which I was made fun of because of my short stature and tossed from one side to another by the bigger apprentices. This makes me even angrier as I assault him. w32xxze_1-20

Er Nu The Elf hastily opens up his door to see Ky miss the vagrant with his fathers jeweled dagger. The Vagrant looks at Er Nu but quickly turns his attention back to the shoeless fighter.
The Vagrant attacks!

Just narrowly avoiding Ky's neck. The vagrant is now between Er nu and Ky.
((Ky and Er Nu are the Inside Party and will both go first before the vagrant))
The outside party defiantly heard something coming from inside over the clamoring of the crowds. 1d20

Nes' eyes, previously focusing on the mysterious hooded figure, jerk towards the sound of the guardsman's voice. He bows his head slightly at the guardsman's words, and jerks his thumb towards Ned. "Aye, and were it not for this one I might have been in for a world of hurt." He bows appreciatively to Ned. His eyes glance over to the hooded figure once more, and he notices noises in the tavern behind him that sound an awful lot like a brawl, but decides that the situation to the south needs to take precedence. He trots over to the guardsman's position. "Dwarf! Elf! Are you coming?" He then addresses the guardsman once more. "Big monster? Exactly how big? What does it look like?"

Nedzer was attempting to to eat in his room at the tavern, but somebody downstairs was making so much noise, he decided it would be best to see what was going on. He spent a few minutes putting on his armor and listening to the furious sounds coming from below before he was finally ready to go downstairs.

The guardsman relaxes his tension and cracks a smile. "Oh thank ye heavens for strong able adventurers in a town full of strong able adventurers." The guardsman looks around now at the dissipating crowd. The cloaked and spumous figure he spied before is gone. He continues.
It is a giant lizard looking thing. But not like these folk.
He kicks the kobold again and more contents fall out of the corpse.
Its bigger and walks on 4 legs and has the power to turn men into stone! I saw it before. Perkins, my most able body soldier turned to stone before my very eyes! The beast climbed into the sewers which means it could go anywhere in the city. Please help us defeat this menace!

A halfing fighter peers outside of his door. While finishing up the last of his lunch he walks out into the hallway to see a bloodied corpse and a wild looking adventurer with blood splatters over his armor. Suddenly footsteps can be heard upstairs followed by a door slam and a glass shattering.

Veldeen considers all the stimuli - the noise from the inside, the panicked face of the guardsman, the dwarf, still cursing, the cleric, trying to ascertain the situation he'd been thrust into. Maybe the crisis of the situation is causing him to imagine it, but - does he hear the Lizard beneath him? or smell its odor, sewer-like in a northward breeze? "Probably just drunks inside" he says, muttering under his breath in Elvish about the habits of men. To the guardsman: "Calm yourself, friend - I left an ale in the tavern for you", eyeing something that seems to have been dropped from the Kobold's jerkin, judging from its position.
