I just thought somebody here might know. Amazon recommended me one narrated by Todd Mclaren, just wondering if that is considered a decent version, or if anybody had a better recommendation.

I haven't heard that so I don't know if he has an annoying voice or anything, but that seems to be the original versions which is the only thing you have to worry about. Some badly edited versions were around for a while but the problem seems to have worked itself out.

But also I have volume 1 of that on paperback and it has some cool pictures but the formatting kind of sucks because the font is so small. So audiobook for this isn't a bad idea.

I have a decent collection of Conan audio books.
The Howard books are narrated by Jeff Halberstadt and Todd McLaren. Personally, I don't care for Todd McLaren's voice as much as I do Jeff Halberstadt.
However, the best Conan audio books are the Robert Jordan, L. Sprague de Camp, and Lin Carter ones narrated by John Polk, in my opinion.
I've got a surprise for you. Will take a short while, maybe a day or two. Worth the wait...
