I've been listening to this so much lately. It's crazy how minimalist this soundtrack is to such a big budget film. Such great futurewave

nice to see most of you appreciating Italian horror soundtracks! OSTs are probably my main reference and source of inspiration when composing with keyboard (I am a guitarist, actually), I love "spaghetti western" and police-movies OSTs, as well! Check out "Milano Calibro 9" soundtrack by Luis Bachalov performed by Osanna, it has a great symphonic theme and prog/funk moments too. take a listen to Herzog's "Nosferatu" comment by Popol Vuh, it's very dark ambient sounding: www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9AHbslFqNQ&t=2606s

I would strongly recommend Betrayal At Krondor OST by Jean Paul Moorehead as a good example of midi masterpiece with a good DS vibe. Has a sophisticated fantasy feel, as epic as Manowar songs.

I loved the game. I played a little bit later in 2000 summer and had a blast with its story (of course..).. A great game, great battle system, great rpg, great soundtrack.. Great choice.. I never finished it, I think I was in chapter 5 when I dropped it after I got a new pc and never got back to it or restart it..

I never finished it, I think I was in chapter 5 when I dropped it after I got a new pc and never got back to it or restart it.. The story is more or less generic fantasy affairs, but I loved the narration. Kinda boosted my English skills back then - I played the game with a dictionary at hand. I finished the game when was a kid but I used a walkthrough on the 3rd chapter and on.

I love "spaghetti western" and police-movies OSTs, as well! I recently watched the original Django with Franco Nero, and the theme song got stuck in my head.

Yes, The Great Silence and The Mercenary are on my watch list! Unfortunately they are not streaming in the US for some reason.
