Greetings fellow adventurers! I apologize to those of you for whom this thread is news that has already reached you via Facebook, but I want to make it available to those who do not use it. This thread is dedicated to the Northeast Dungeon Siege. What is the Northeast Dungeon Siege? Some of you may remember that in March of this past year a private gathering of DS artists from the Northeastern US took place in the Tyrant's Krypt. Noticing that there is both a remarkable amount of growth interest in both performance and the experience of live DS, we have decided that in it's second year, Northeast Dungeon Siege MMXIX, will expand to be a public DIY festival. The Siege will take place in Worcester, Massachusetts on March 29-31st. We are sitting at about 25 confirmed acts, which will be announced on Monday and Friday each week through the end of the year and into January.

Our second announced artist, Ranseur, hails from New Jersey and released his seventh album, 'Gnome Songs for Ritual Cleansing' in May. Since 2013 Ranseur has been bringing together elements of minilism and noise, as well as the hypnotism of funeral doom to shape a unique sound profile which is now referred to as 'goblin noise'. Ranseur is a Siege alumni, having been one of the few projects to play Northeast Dungeon Siege MMXVIII. ranseur.bandcamp.com/

Our third announced artist, Blood Tower, hails from Nebraska and released their latest album ‘Posture Magic’ in September. Blood Tower released its self-titled debut EP on Moonworshipper Records in 2016. Inside Blood Tower’s cauldron, you will find noise, ritual occultism, minimalism, cutlery, and literary influences; these ingredients have been used to conjure eight sickening releases in the past two years. moonworshipper.bandcamp.com/album/posture-magic

Our fourth announced artist, Tyrannus, hails from New York and released the 'Serpentslayer' EP in June. Since 2016, Tyrannus has been punishing the Dungeon Synth community with his controversial brand of lo-fi Dungeon Noise, crafting direct melodies enclosed in noise walls. Over the last year, Tyrannus has been gradually working more traditional elements into his composition, but with sharp edges coming across in the stark melodies which are now at the forefront of the music. pagodamast.bandcamp.com/music

Our fifth announced artist, Neverlur, hails from Ontario and just had the debut EP, 'Op under Fjeldet toner en Lur', re-released on Tour de Garde in July. Steadfast in tradition, Kveldulf marches us triumphantly through snow-driven forests illuminated by the pale moon. A biting wind presses against our faces as we make our way along the mountain path, our hearts pounding in time with the sounds of distant drums on the horizon. neverlur.bandcamp.com/

Our sixth announced artist, Charnel Oubliette, hails from Pennsylvania and just released a self-split with fellow AVRA CLLCTV artist Withering Presence in September, entitled 'They are Always with Us'. In 2018 The Keeper of the Charnel Oubliette has officiated and released three 'funeral synth' rites. Each is comprised of a collection of mournful dirges, which — if not wary — will lead you deeper and deeper into a catatonic state of grief. charneloubliette.bandcamp.com/

Our seventh announced artist, Mistveil - Dungeon Synth, hails from Colorado and released its debut EP on Ancient Meadow Records in August, entitled 'I: Drunken Voices Echoing Through the Trees'. On the debut, A Drunken Bard regales us with stories of the lands of Tamriel. On his sleeves you can see he openly displays the sigils of black metal influences. The Drunken Bard adds his voice to the stark blend of orchestral and synth sounds, supplementing his tale and augmenting the atmosphere, ensuring that it is a story you'll want to hear again. mistveildungeonsynth.bandcamp.com/

Our eighth announced artist, Khand, hails from Massachusetts and released a collection of two demos, an EP, and bonus tracks on Rotten Shape in 2014. Khand is the faint star glimpsed through the lone window of the dungeon when the nights are clear. With material reaching back to '98 and a new album on the way, Khand has been taking us on celestial explorations through interstellar dominions for decades. khand.bandcamp.com/album/the-fires-of-celestial-ardour

Our ninth announced artist, Roman Master, released its fifth self titled release on Moonworshipper Records in August. Since 2015 Roman Master has been grounding the escapism of occult fantasy with the nagging, persistent awareness that death comes for us all in the end. Some albums offer narratives crafted with mirthless synthesis, while others use gruesome black metal - but Roman Master's body of work is remarkably cohesive in its interminable bleakness. moonworshipper.bandcamp.com/

I don't like trips, but if I was living in the U.S.A. this would be a road trip to an event I'd surely wanna watch!! Lots of artists, top names, this will be an event to remember!!
Btw, if there ever was a good opportunity for a DS film (short, promo, documentary, historic , WHATEVER) this would be a good chance for anyone capable..
Anyway, keep it going!!

I agree that this would be a great opportunity as there will be more DS artists in one place than ever before. At the very least we will be recording video and audio of the performances, but it would be rad to see a filmmaker or student do something. There are some big surprises in store regarding performances from all over. It’s going to be dirt cheap as well which will hopefully help people be able to travel for it. .

Our tenth announced artist, Monastery, hails from Massachusetts and released its debut full length 'Peculiar Storms' in March of 2014. Taking influence from many eras of ambient music, and as well drawing from the deep roots of folk, monastery creates an enveloping sound that has resonated with listeners of dungeon synth. Monastery is the dungeon and the world around it. By placing lovingly crafted folky melodies by the rushing water, in a field during a rainstorm, and deep underwater, the project creates total immersion - a hybrid music at home with its surroundings. monasteryhymns.bandcamp.com/
