Our eleventh announced artist, Trollkjerring, hails from Illinois and released its latest demo 'Moonlight' in September, as well as the preview track 'I feel locked out...' in November. Trollksjerring is extremely evocative, using vulnerability as a tool to lower the listener's defences. Since 2017 Trollksjerring's siren songs have filled three demos, a split, and a live recording, creating an inner world drawing influence from darkwave, neofolk, and the resigned majesty of old school Dungeon Synth. With each release our spirits wander further into dark forests, steeped in melancholia, under the veil of night invoked by haunting and beautiful melodies. The upcoming full length promises the the most intimate and personal material from this artist to date. trollkjerring.bandcamp.com/

Our 12th announced artist, Sombre Arcane, hails from Massachusetts, and released their self-titled demo in August of this year. One of the earliest American proponents of live dungeon synth, Sombre Arcane has offered a number of rituals to the public, incorporating video, costume, and elaborate staging to make the audience feel like they are peering into the window of an alchemist's workshop. Crafting their sound with synths and strings, Sombre Arcane offers a well crafted journey through the dungeons, infusing their music with folk, fantasy ambient and balladry for a thoroughly immersive experience. sombrearcane.bandcamp.com/

Our thirteenth announced artist, Effluvium, hails from Nebraska, and self-released its most recent EP 'Eternal Bid' in October. Doing away with the escapism that is so prevalent within the genre, Effluvium has recently traded the fantasy of medieval dungeons for the realism of their 21st century counterpart. Using neoclassical melodies and percussion heavy synthesis, Effluvium takes us for a tour behind bars with a sound referred to as "Prison Synth". Although stones have been replaced with concrete, hidden traps superseded with addiction, and solitary confinement has taken the place of torture racks, Effluvium draws a clear parallel between traditional dungeons and our modern incarceration systems. effluvium00.bandcamp.com/album/eternal-bid

Show of hands for who here will be attending? I highly doubt it'll be feasible for me to road trip across the country to see this, but if the opportunity arises I would love to attend. Killer lineup

Our fourteenth announced artist, Columnaris, hails from New Jersey, and released their most recent full length, "Standard Operating Procedures", in April. Columnaris approaches the peripherals of the dungeon, drawing influence from dark ambient, industrial, and drone, with an eye cast toward the water. Utilizing bowed guitar treated with heavy effects, synths, and field recordings from aquatic sources, Columnaris creates powerful, transporting textures grounded with a melodic sensibility. Manifesting the hermeticism of the study of nature, Columnaris' sound is complementary to dungeon synth, helping to establish the anachronistic, fantastical vision.

Our fifteenth announced artist, Solitude, hails from Alabama and released its debut demo 'The Sword of Lord Einsamkeit' in September of this year. Making use of field recordings and droning melodies, Solitude paints a dark picture of a figure trapped out of time in a crumbling castle, with deserted corridors leading to chambers blanketed by dust and memory. Using only a single string pad, Solitude lives up to its name with devastating focus, offering a melancholic journey in sound, a haunted past emerging into an uncertain present. solitudedungeonsynth.bandcamp.com

Just wanted to bump this for Naginah and say hi to all the folks going! With the lack of responses on this thread you might expect that the attendance will be low. However, I am extremely pleased to say that is not at all the case! Right now we are all but sold out with 7/100 Weekend passes and 3/80 Saturday passes left! (leaving 20 Saturday passes for the door). So people are either being bashful or not active in the forums.

Good sets yesterday, pretty wide variety as far as DS goes. Looking forward to Mortiis and more tonight. If you see a guy in a Moon Lay Hidden Beneath A Cloud backpatch feel free to come say hi.
