Congratulations! The Apothecaries' Weight is amazing. I heard the entire record when you released it and listen to it again right now. It will follow me through the winter. I can also mention that I like the changes between the "noise synth" parts and the more ambient and resonating ones.

I hope it does come to soundtrack the colder months for you - it's definitely the gloomiest record I've done. I think both that tone and the change between noisy and ambient parts has been mostly inspired by a lot of west coast funeral doom I've been listening to recently. Bands like Asunder, Un, Bell Witch are a big influence on this record. That plus harsh noise, medieval synth and you've got the whole mix!

Any plans to make a tape of The Apothecaries' Weight? That album is so good!

Thank you! Yes, there definitely will be tapes of that record. Current plan is with two labels - one that tends to sell out quickly and then down the line with a label that does re-releases so hopefully there will be more than one chance for people to get a copy. Everyone is pretty backlogged at the moment though so might not be until summer. You'll see me posting about it when there's news though for sure.

Brilliant news! Hope at least one of them is not American.

It's not DS proper, but if you've enjoyed my music before you might like my new record, released 4/20/21. I know a lot of DS musicians who will do a 'black metal' record and I wanted to see what would happen if I did the same thing but harking back to the influences that got me into dungeon synth - Hawkwind, Bong and David Terry, Bo Hansson and so on. Hope you enjoy. resinator.bandcamp.com/album/warp-lord

A very successful experiment, congrats!
