THANK YOU - Classical music makes up the majority of what I listen to.
Here is Rautavaara, arguably one of Finland's most notable composers. For me, he obscures the boundaries between the wholly personal and collective unconsciouses, and rips from the bottom of these depths something that is primordial and stuck out of time. Truly amazing work.

EDIT: Ah, it is but a later part of the concerto. Found the piece in Spotify! beautiful so far

I need to resuscitate this thread. My flatmate and I usually always sit together in the kitchen and work on our stuff while listening to classical music. Now he's away for a week and he's left me a playlist so that I "don't listen to bad music" in his absence. There are some real gems on there. For example, this quartet:
