Greetings,
I would like to introduce you to my project Anfortas. I have been playing around with creating Dungeon Synth since 2017, but have never been really satisfied with the results. It was only with my second album, that I am somewhat confident in the result, and am proud to present it to an audience.
The album has been inspired by the Thief PC game series, which are among my all time favorite games. I thought the dark and gloomy atmosphere of these games fits perfectly with Dungeon Synth, so I will keep this theme for future releases. You can listen to the album here:
I am always open for opinions, feedback and criticism.
Best Regards, Anfortas

I already gave it a few listens, the track thats stands out for me was Crippled Burrick Pub, with its tempo, most enjoyable!! Keep it up, I playd a bit of Thief I back in the day, great game although seemed hard for my taste, I remember some skeletons later in some labyrinth of sorts hunting me... Great atmosphere and very ahead of its time with its stealth!! And an RPG literally!!
Regards!

Thank you for your opinion. Yes, writing upbeat and faster songs is something that I find partly more challenging, as these songs tend to get too short. On the other hand, those are the songs, where I can incorporate my (sparsely) knowledge about Renaissance music.
When I started playing Thief II, it was at the time it came out (2000), and it also seemed pretty hard for me back then. If you shoud ever get interested in playing Thief again, there are literaly hundreds of fan made missions, with a wide variety of settings.

My song "The Astronomer's Dream" is now featured on the Dungeon 1880 compilation ( fuzzycracklins.bandcamp.com/album/dungeon-1880) and therefore I am giving away 5 codes for anyone who wants to add the compilation to his/her collection for free.
Please PM me for further details, if you are interested.

Like its predecessor it is set in the universe of the Thief game series, but this time, the album was inspired solely by one particular mission of the game.

Here you will find my new album. Again, it is inspired by the universe of the Thief game series. The music itself is in the vein of Mystic Towers or Erdstall. For the first time, tapes are also available. anfortas.bandcamp.com/album/far-below-the-city
"Far below the City lie the vast sewers, that connect various districts, quarters, castles, crypts and cathedrals. They are not only an excellent way to move through the City undetected, they also hold ancient secrets, long thought lost.
Join our protagonist on his nocturnal expedition. A journey which leads him to abandoned places full of magic, mysteries and danger."

Great stuff! I particularly enjoyed how the melody was developed in The Astronomer's Dream and the quick tempo in Crippled Burrick Pub.

Excellent stuff indeed!! I just had repeated listens, time went fast despite being a full 45 minutes.. The first song in the beginning minutes gave some strong Abandonded Places vibes, while the second one which is more based on melody, remains not just interesting but very enjoyable throughout.. Really good stuff here, well done! Certainly recommended!!

I want to thank both of you very much, for your feedback, it means a lot to me. Great stuff! I particularly enjoyed how the melody was developed in The Astronomer's Dream and the quick tempo in Crippled Burrick Pub. I am also pretty happy myself with how the song "The Astronomer's Dream" turned out, which happens only rarely Excellent stuff indeed!! Funnily enough, when beginning the second song, I did not intend it to becomme so melody focused, but it just developed in that direction. But as I was making fast progress in writing the song, I just kept this approach and, kind of, let the song develop on its own, if you know what I mean.
