***Please jump to latest post for updates!***Hey all, I've recently released the opening track from the upcoming album by ENCLOAKED. The music is dungeon synth that leans heavily into the epic fantasy side of things. Lots of piano work mixed in with orchestral sounds and of course, the SNES-inspired synth sounds we all love. Biggest influences are soundtracks to film and games such as Diablo and Final Fantasy and Conan the Barbarian. And heavy metal such as Manowar! My favourite Dungeon Synths artists are Vetraheimr, Secret Stairways and Fief, though there are many more where that came from. Check out the opening track here: Full album digital preorders are going live tomorrow: encloaked.bandcamp.com/Thanks very much for checking it out, looking forward to being a part of the community.

I'll probably drop a few more song clips leading up the release day when I find the spare time. News regarding a physical release coming very soon. In the meantime, here's the full artwork. It's a digital painting by the talented Leon Bakalarz from Poland.

My thoughts are absolutely positive. I listened in-depth to your album and realized how the overall quality is too far above the rest of the scene. We can tell whatever we want, but experience (I hear some piano skills, as well) and music/harmony knowledge still makes the difference - if not for the Bandcamp charts, at least for the lovers of good Music. Being (or...having been?) a guitarist, I like the parts in track #3 too. To summarize: there is Dungeon Synth for hype followers, and there is Dungeon Synth for Music lovers. Encloaked definitely belongs to the second case.

Perfectly put. I'm not sure why I've skated around listening to this before now, but boy do I regret it. What a wonderful and well made release!

Still digesting and having back to back repeated listens to this one, quality work element0s, lots of great stuff and still discovering and exploring it.. I was kinda surprised that it was more "neoclassical"(with the modern meaning, not the Classical music one) than Dungeon Synth, but deciding the genre is irrelevant when the music is as nice as this one! I absolutely enjoyed the piano inclusion as well as the diversity of the style and tempo in the album, keeping it though still tight altogether as an entity.. My two equally great favorites are the utter sorrow of "Amongst the Roots" (great song) and the opposite of it, the joyful and rhythmic "Dance of the Broken Branch"! But all the whole it is solid strong and deserves throughout listens.. Thumbs up mate, regards!!

Thanks to both of you as well! It's awesome to get such kind feedback I've seen a few people use the term Neoclassical to describe the album which makes sense in retrospect, although I don't really have enough experience in that realm to tell the difference sometimes. This album definitely has a lot of different kinds of songs where each tune is it's own little world. I was intentionally stretching myself out and trying a few different styles. I think in the future I'm going to try some releases that have a more focused approach so you can stay in one world for a whole album or EP or whatever. We'll see how it goes!

A pleasure mate, already looking forward to your next work I noticed on FB you are planning!! Good news!! I personally didn't mind the diversity and it didn't break cohesion for me , I enjoyed really that it was not a standard formula DS but it had its unique blend of sounds!! Regards and keep us informed

It went the same way for my very first album "Ruins" (October 2017). While the term "neoclassical" is commonly used in Metal to label a classical or baroque influenced album or artist (Yngwie Malmsteen, Symphony-X, Ring of Fire etc), I have found out that in DS the same word regards almost each kind of non-minimalist, well composed or just skilled stuff (think of The Castle Of Otranto ). So, seeing your album being labeled as "neoclassical" does not surprise me at all: well deserved!

"Encloaked is a fascinating up-and-coming dungeon synth artist that sounds extremely comfortable playing classically influenced fantasy synth. There is a lot of variety on this album, which I love, and the production effort is noteworthy as well. As the highly impressive album art draws you in, the music will certainly grab ahold of you and keep you entertained."Dave Loveless from The Dungeon in Deep Space posted a very kind review of the album on his page, check it out! thedungeonindeepspace.com/

A really nice write up. I happen to think the album is great too. A good mix of traditional DS sounds and some really cool synth elements that really appeal to me a lot.
