I feel like im probably the odd man out here, but i’ve only really taken an interest to tabletop and video game rpgs because of dungeon synth. In terms of what I do besides having a synth project, I play in a couple of other bands, write, hike, camp, and also spend lots and lots of time skateboarding. if there’s another dungeon synth artist down to play a game of skate, hit me up!

Now that's a great hobby!! For me it would be (listening to )music, (playing) video games, (watching) documentaries, pondering about life universe and everything, reading books (though lately mostly non fiction and more popular science -maths or physics- ) , organizing stuff.. From sports since it was brought up, I played in my teens football(soccer for the US people) and basketball but in recent years I 've only done and had a blast 1.5 year of BJJ - no , didn't advance to BB, White belt - . I tried for 2 months kick boxing too, didn;t like it, BJJ is one of the best sports imho to do, after that Kick Boxing seemed too 1-dimensional). I still though watch sport matches of my favourite team(Panathinaikos) but I don't anymore go to the actual matches but I did for many years - even volleyball lol! - . And I usually watch all UFC events from the MMA world which is probably the sport I watch more lately for many years now too..

I'm in my first few years at university, studying English and education. I wanted to be a filmmaker for a while, but the logistics of it make my head hurt... however, if I win the lottery, catch me trying to make a career as a film writer/director. I try to write some, but it's tiresome work and it's hard to imagine anyone understanding what I'm trying to say with a lot of it. Reading is a given, but I fail to do it as frequently as I really should. I'm not a bad sketcher of doodles but that's all any of my work amounts to, doodles.
I like camping, hiking, running, weightlifting, and eating a healthy diet. My best friend and I will find ourselves driving around aimlessly for hours deep in conversation exploring what we have to say on topics that come to light as we talk. That's a blast.
Overall, I envy the lot of you in how you seem to have more time to yourself, acutely devoting your time to little sub-sects of the world and its knowledge. Sometimes I feel too social and dependent on the company of others.

Mine has been to major in English with a few education specific pre-reqs and then do most of the education courses in grad school. Half of my grad program is student teaching. Works for me, but there isn't very much room for education electives during undergrad which is kind odd since the transition is very quick. Very close to finishing, I've definitely taken my time.

Interesting, that's vastly different from what I'll be going through. The first few semesters are generals and English heavy, but the education courses come in second year and start to dominate your schedule as a junior and then a senior. I should be out in less than four years, I think, but I'm going about it in a curious way. The school offers two separate routes: a foreign language or communications - and you're required to come close to minoring (a few credits less) in either one of these. I'm bypassing those options by minoring in English (because I started off as a strictly English major). I didn't know this was even possible. I guess I'll graduate with an English Education major and an English minor.

Besides my solo projects(Druad, Lug) I'm a drummer in two bands. Other than music I write poetry, stories and I'm really good at drawing, especially pencil style drawing. I draw inspiration from a variety of things, including fantasy, movies, books, emotions, dreams and as of lately - sleep paralysis, since I've figured a technique to trigger it in 6/10 cases. Here is the link to my Deviantart profile: lp-98.deviantart.com/

Well, the thing is...I'm not sure if this thing that I'm inducing is EXACTLY sleep paralysis...but it definitely is NOT a basic dreaming. However, I believe it to be sleep paralysis, simply because there is a paralyzing feeling in it, which is terrifying of course and sometimes there is this lurking feeling also, which extends even to a couple of seconds after waking up + I'm aware of my dreaming when being inside of the "paralysis" and the stuff that I dream about, this way, is always too abstract to comprehend. While basic dreams often contain people or the places, these paralyzed dreams are mostly experience based/focused (white noise, feeling of presence[can't find better example]...). I realize it by lying on my back, but turning a bit diagonal, so I'm not facing the ceiling "directly"(even though, technically - I am). Also, crossed arms are advised. Sorry if this all sounded a bit pretentious, I tried my best to explain the thing.

Finally back here on the forum. Went on a trip to Europe for a couple weeks and my school term just ended so I've been really occupied for the past month, not to mention I just started shaolin training which will also take a decent amount of my free time. Shaolin kung fu is quite intensive so far. I'm training in ba gua and tai chi chuan initially for proper grounding, balance, and form and will over time move into mantis style. Not sure which weapon I'll train; I have a feeling I'll go for the staff, but this is years away. I've never been this aware of my body movements and posture. Anyone else here practice martial arts?

I practiced Aikido for a good amount of time, boxing as well. Aikido, though, is far different from any practice I had ever had - truly an art. As creative types go, connecting with one's corporeal and physical existence is not typically "natural" and requires a great deal of focus and effort. It is absolutely otherworldy when one becomes truly connected with that physicality!

I'm pretty unfamiliar with Aikido and most kinds of grappling styles, though I do have a friend who is a jiu-jitsu instructor. Aikido looks like an interesting art, surprisingly recent too.

Here is the link to my Deviantart profile: lp-98.deviantart.com/I suffer from sleep paralysis on rare occasion. I've inherited it paternally. I hate it, but I could see how one might desire it. Only a few nights ago I "awoke" to scratching and scurrying from behind (I was sleeping on my side), and when I decided to turn around and investigate or otherwise confront whatever it was (my mind was racing, jumping to all possible ends), I was frozen! It's an awful feeling really, because the "presence" of whatever was in the room with me seemed to grow. There was nothing I desired more than to just move a hand or to turn onto my other side, but I couldn't do a thing. Finally, after struggling for what felt like a minute (but was probably shorter) I was able to move once again and the feeling of their being a "presence" was entirely gone. It's so infrequent (once a year?) that when it happens it seems like an unequivocally deadly and terrifying thing each time.
