Not sure if this should be here or in The Basement, but maybe this will be of interest to some. I've been tinkering with game design lately. I'm planning to make a proper game, but first I had to learn how to generate the environments, animations, learn Unity, etc. so I figured best to start with a very small prototype to get all that nailed down and get a sense of the workflow. I'm a bit embarrassed that the writing is so silly and lazy, definitely intend for the next game to be serious, but overall it did take me a fairly long time, and has a few original tunes, so I figured it might be worth sharing here. Any feedback would be appreciated. Runs in browser, but not on mobile. andrewwerdna.itch.io/the-return-of-draggy

Tunes are nice, do you have them posted elsewhere?
I think the game is fine, considering you just learning stuff. In scene where you go to goblin's cave Ranger feels to large compared to trees at background, the only thing I noted immidiatly.

I haven't posted the music anywhere else, but I might re-use them in the next game which I plan to release concurrently with a soundtrack. The scaling of the character as he moves around the scene is surprisingly tricky to get right, so it's reassuring that was the only real instance you encountered with that seeming off because I actually meant for those trees to be smaller than the ones on the previous screen, but I probably should've been using different textures/models anyways if only for the sake of variety. Thanks for playing and the feedback!

Congrats Anrew for getting it into "alpha"+ and a working experience!! I will check it out later (followed you on itch.io and added it on my "collections" ) , the cherry on top of the cake being some new songs you released so I definitely will be looking forward to get the feel of both vision and sound!! Also, double congrats because just getting to plan to do something like this and actually doing it is a whole different level, I;ve also thought of so many projects to do but never get to quite getting into it due to rl constraints, but endless respect and we're all very eager to see where it takes!! Congrats, I'll try to play the game too soon!!

I too have had many plans and projects that went nowhere, hence why this is so basic and rushed, knew that if I started with what I really wanted to make I'd quickly get overwhelmed having to learn everything as I went. We'll have to see if I have the wherewithal now to bring an actual game to completion.

Awesome! I knew you were interested in VR at some point but it's unexpected and really cool to see what you're doing there!

Awesome! I knew you were interested in VR at some point but it's unexpected and really cool to see what you're doing there! Thanks. Yeah, I was actually attempting to make a VR game at one point a few years ago, one of many projects that never really got off the ground for me. I might still do that someday, but for now this traditional approach to game design seems more feasible.
