Hails,
I have a request for someone, who owns distortion pedals. It could be your regular orange Boss Distortion, but anything (cheap would be better though) will really do. Could you record them for me? I would like to record my guitars this way, but I want to know which one suits my needs the best. It would be much easier for me if I didn't have to try this in the music store.
In summary - I'd be grateful for any recording of guitar => distortion pedal => audio interface. Don't forget to tell me which pedal you're using though.
Thanks!

This track is primarily guitar => Behringer Bass OD => interface. Doesn’t get much cheaper than that. I don’t think I even put much (any) reverb on that part. Used the same pedal for the distortion on the keys. Lutecia’s Theme

Check out a Boss Metal Zone, or if you want to spend some coin, the HM-2 Heavy Metal.
Those have that kind of 'chilly' black metal distortion sound

Check out a Boss Metal Zone, or if you want to spend some coin, the HM-2 Heavy Metal. Those have that kind of 'chilly' black metal distortion sound I bought it. Tried it out on a Peavey Rage 258 that my friend wanted to buy and loved it. It sounds pretty cold on my Mustang I V2 too. The problem I am facing now is my audio interface clipping. I have a Behringer U-phoria UMC202HD and the gain is low. I'll borrow a Mackie mixer with higher gain to see what can be done, or I'll try using a cheap Behringer tube pre-amp (the MIC100). So thanks for the tip, I always wanted one. Thanks to the guy who recommended me Thomann, I tried it and it also helped me before I tried the Metalzone out for real.
