The teaser is enchanting Erang, I loved your last album and its direction but I of course also love the endless classic DS hymns you've done for all of us, so much anticipating the new album covering as you imply many DS facets!! Please keep us updated, this will be epic

I already like the atmosphere you present here. I'm excited about hearing the new release, I've listened to most of your albums, I have some favourites, but that one, from the teaser alone looks very promising

Thanks, I'm really excited to share this one with you... I'm saying one but, as you'll soon discover it, it won't really be "1" album... there are 5 Seasons indeed... Concerning the 10 years, here is a really long & retrospective interview I've made for Invisible Oranges: www.invisibleoranges.com/naive-magic-erang-interview/From 2012 to 2022, we talked about lots of topics from the first days of Dungeon Synth (revival) to my most recent projects.

NEW ALBUM is OUT NOW: 5 parts for 5 Seasons! To celebrate 10 years of music since my first album in 2012, this pentalogy is my love letter to Dungeon Synth & the world I've created: the Land of the Five Seasons. Each of the 5 albums explores one of the 5 seasons from the Land and, at the same time, is a tribute to a declination of Dungeon Synth. A SEASON OF FROST is dedicated to Old School Dungeon Synth & dusty demo tapes from the past: erang.bandcamp.com/album/a-season-of-frostA SEASON OF LEAVES is dedicated to the Epic & Medieval Atmospheric Black Metal influences from Summoning or Bathory: erang.bandcamp.com/album/a-season-of-leavesA SEASON OF SAND is dedicated to the New Age & meditative World Music aspects of Dungeon Synth: erang.bandcamp.com/album/a-season-of-sandA SEASON OF BLOOM is dedicated to the idyllic folk melodies & 90's fantasy RPG midi music: erang.bandcamp.com/album/a-season-of-bloomA SEASON OF MAGIC is dedicated to the more experimental, ambient & ethereal chants of Dungeon Synth: erang.bandcamp.com/album/a-season-of-magicI've put my heart & soul into these 5 records: thanks to all of you who follow me since all these years! ~ The Kingdom is Ours: Imagination Never Fails ~ Erang

Once more from this place, congrats Erang!! Intabuy of course the whole discography in such a great price (and I already bought whole discography and individual in the past but it is SO MUCH WORTH it mate)!! So many great releases/albums, endless favorite songs all these years and you are a modern pillar of the genre and seriously this is an understatement ( sorry again to flatter but we need to pay the dues and respect for people worth it!! ) To many years to come, many thanx for your releases for our listening pleasures and of course for all the many things you've done for DS, promoting it, samples, influence, participating, so many things!! Endless respect and regards Erang!! I'm already planning the weekend to listen to the new stuff in appropriate time and setting , already reading great comments and so nice idea to divide the offerings unto eras/ds influences and paying tribute to the whole genre!!

I'm humbled by your words & not sure if I fully deserve it but thanks!
I really wanted to create something unique for you all to celebrate this 10 years anniversary and having such a feedback is the best feeling on earth! As I wrote somewhere else, it is the only time I can share this feeling with you all during few days before going back again to my monastic creative room where I work alone on my craft.

As I have just released the 5 parts of my new album, I'd like to share with you some inspiration behind each part.
I'd like to start with A SEASON OF BLOOM because, if I recall it correctly, I think it's one of the first I've started to work on, at the end of last year.
I really wanted to work on some "light" acoustic guitar melodies to express the vibe and feelings of this Season of Bloom and eternal spring... the emerald forest... a vibe of idyllic guitar softly played around a campfire at night... That's why Zelda Ocarina of Time instantanly came to my mind: as I've stated in a recent interview for the Dungeon Synth blog, I've never played it but have always been in love with this melancholic soundtrack for years (https://dungeonsynth.blogspot.com/2022/02/a-conversation-with-erang.html)
Speaking of acoustic guitar and games I've never played: I've also always been mesmerized by the aesthetic of the game DWARF FORTRESS. And I loved the lofi flamenco guitar tune at the beginning... It is really a powerful tune with some timeless dark vibes, hard to explain. Like an old stone from a thousand of centuries ago...
That flamenco tune reminded me that my father is a huge fan of the Gipsy Kings. He always used to blast it in the house at full volume... far from Dungeon Synth but definitely linked to my childhood.
So that's some inspiration behind this Season of Bloom but there are many others!
Hope you'll enjoy this soft journey through the fresh nights of an eternal spring!

A SEASON OF FROST, full album is on Youtube:
" un sentiment puissant
dans ma gorge est logé... "

A SEASON OF LEAVES (full album is now on Youtube) was a bit of a gamble: I wanted to explore & add Black Metal elements to my music for a long time... but I didn't want to "simply make" a Summoning copy... That's how I ended with A Season of Leaves: not black metal, not DS, but really a blend of elements from both genre mixed with my own sound... I wouldn't really know how to classify it and it doesn't really matter: I just hope it will take you on a journey...
"We're like the stories we dream and never die my territory lives in my mind
Magic and glories our dream will never lie my territories beyond my eyes
Imagination Never Fails! Kingdom is Ours!
"we want... ... something more... we want... The Dream of Magic!"
(in your mind)

Printing tests for the 'symbol' alignment on the back of the "FIVE SEASONS" tapes box set: coming before the end of the year in collaboration with Out Of Season. Also distributed by Dungeons Deep Records & distributed in Europe through Forsaken Relics. This symbol that appears on all my work since "Imagination Never Fails" has a secret meaning behind it and could be 'translated' in a full sentence (the symbol is hidden on the cover art of "Imagination Never Fails" both in the front and back covers. You can also find it on the cover of "Prisonnier du Rêve"). It is also a nod to the small graphical signature/logo of the famous Iron Maiden illustrator Derek Riggs. I remember that, as a young teen, I use to love watching closely to the artwork of their albums trying to find this little hidden easter egg.
