Name of Project Poll
THEME: Introductions
SYNOPSIS: A collaborative project featuring the users of the DS Forum to be compiled in a digital volume and released on Bandcamp. The songs should be new (or unreleased) and based around the general theme. Artists are free to interpret the theme however they want and also venture outside their creative boundaries for sake of experimentation. Artists are free to submit music under their own name, a new name, or no name with any title they see fit. Music should be dungeon synth orientated but if anyone has concerns they can be addressed.
THEME: Introductions. A meeting of hooded figures at a secret meeting place. Be it warlocks, wizards, witches, or weathered wayfarers and be it in the caves, castles, or crypts this gathering is marked by secrecy. By words or action, the gathering all make their introductions.
DEADLINE: The deadline for finished songs to be sent for inclusion is Wednesday March 1st. All finished WAV files should be uploaded to the Google Drive link at the top or sent to KAPTAINCARBON[at]GMAIL[DOT]COM before or by the date.
LENGTH: Tracks Should be under 10 minutes and longer than 1 minute. If you have a major grievance about this then please discuss it with us.
TITLE: Above is a poll for naming of the compilation. Because users can not add names, if you have a name for consideration, leave a comment and I will add it.
ARTWORK / DESIGN: Ideally we would want original artwork for the project but do not have disposable capital to commission artwork. Classical paintings will most likely be used in the event nothing else surfaces. The design of the cover will be done by me and it will be a very simple layout of thick borders, artwork and title.
RELEASE / PROMOTION: The Compilation will be uploaded and released for free on Bandcamp. I will also write a short article for my DIGEST and most likely brag about it on reddit since I find all of this fascinating. The Compilations will also be stored in a Vault on this forum once the vault is actually constructed.
INTENTION: This series is intended to be a collaborative exercise with the goal of exposing fans and new people to the works of new and known musicians. There is no competition nor exclusion of any music rather just the general idea that we want to create something so let us try our hardest. The products should be completed works rather than drafts of old music that should have stayed drafts. This compilation will work with 2 or 20 entries.
THE FACEBOOK GROUP COMP: At this moment there is another compilation going which actually appeared at the same time. You can find it here. At this moment it is two separate compilations with no rules about partipation in one barring from the other. I would either like it to be one compilation or two distinct compilations without any crossover but this is the trial run so we are just going to go with what we have.
