Greetings Everyone,

My name is Potions Of Eleanor but you may abbreviate it as Poe if that is easier.

I have been an avid listener and enjoyer of dungeon synth for several years now. During 2022 I decided to create my very first dungeon synth project titled The Stygian Pines Of Renhollow. I decided to release this project last year on November 30th 2023 in honor of my late stepfather. I have not partaken in posting within these boards as I have been merely just a lurking figure… until now.

I have recently finished my second dungeon synth album that I plan on releasing in the coming weeks. I figured now would be as good a time as ever to come and introduce myself formally in preparation for the next installment.

The Stygian Pines Of Renhollow marks the beginning of Lothric Von Huen’s quest to escape the village of Renhollow, hidden amongst the stygian pines.

This album does a great job capturing the feeling of fascination, wonder with a dangerous edge. It is engaging if you focus completely, but not distracting if you work on something else while listening. Everything about it is like slightly familiar and yet not, comfortable but still on guard. I've given it a handful of listens already but I don't feel like I've the full experience yet, I seem to appreciate it more with each subsequent listen.

First and foremost it is an honor. I am beyond grateful for your appreciation and analysis of The Stygian Pines Of Renhollow. I worked diligently to portray an atmosphere that dances between danger and fascination. I find myself gladsome that you described the project that way. Renhollow, the stygian pines that surround it, these are things that are beyond us, things that aren't so neatly black or white. As one lurks beneath the pines there is much that can be learned… you need only to travel deeper within. Hello everyone,

My second album Mount Gariel has finally been released. This album continues Lothric Von Huen’s quest to escape Renhollow, the village hidden beneath the stygian pines.

This project is very important to me. When I began this project I had only 2 or 3 songs created when I suddenly lost hearing in my left ear. Little did I know my life would change very drastically. My stepfather passed away, I was diagnosed with a neurological disorder, and much more that would take too long to discuss. I did not work on music in any capacity for several months for the first time in my life. My hearing eventually came back but now with a plethora of new issues. When I finally worked up the courage, I sat down and finished this album… but this time a much different person. This project, to me, carries a heavy burden. It represents so many things but if I had to pick one word, it would be perseverance.

I am proud of what I created and excited to share it amongst the dungeon synth community. I hope you all enjoy it!
