speaking of songs referencing Crowley and Thelema; a) one of my favorite Bowie albums.

I like the intro to that. I've never really been into Bowie, as in listening to his albums. But Space Oddity is great, Labyrinth is one of my favorite movies, and I really like his music in Omikron: The Nomad Soul.

Respect - Omikron is what got me into Bowie. If you haven't already, listen to the album "Hours..." for alternate mixes of this song and several others in this game. Uh, that is, if you're into nerdy stuff like comparing mixes.

That's cool, I don't think anyone I've ever mentioned that game to has played it.

Unbelievable how much influence this set of EPs had on my early ambient projects.

Hopefully seeing Katatonia in April. Crushingly depressive song. This one reminds me of the weird child town in the game Sanitarium for some reason.

I like this new Depeche Mode song a lot. I saw a lot of complaints about the song on Facebook and Youtube, and of course it will never be as their older work. Artists can't make the same music their whole life, that would be boring. I like the idea behind the song a lot, the imagery, and their 'newer' sound. It still sounds like Depeche Mode, but a bit more 'modern'

The bassriff is very simple, but so strong.

This band was incredible, somewhere between goth, prog, and English madrigals, but by the end of their run, they had a really smooth way of integrating all of those influences. Lye The Imprisoned - Had a response all lined up, then realized I had confused Karl Saunders with Karl Jenkins from later-period Soft Machine. I've always enjoyed what Nile I've heard, even as someone who is not a fan of Death Metal, so I'll probably give this a listen. Ananoriel - I love everything I've heard from recent Depeche Mode. Of course they spawned so many imitators, especially now with the kind of 80s revival, but their stuff is so distinctive amongst all synth rock/synth pop
