Nibelung - The Lonely Wood Thanx for bringing it up, I had it on my wishlist on bandcamp which means it had a price tag but now it's set to NYP so I snatched it, great timing!! In a big chiptuny mood after gathering all my systems in one tight room and loading them all up SIMULTANEOUSLY like good old great arcades full on Emulators n stuff, now playing heimatderkatastrophe.bandcamp.com/album/hdk-21-avventura-nel-castelloHDK is full of (great) chiptuny DS among others, but this more of a sample than wholesome "album" appeals to me very much, it's just tiny enjoyful doses of oldschoolism given to you, great stuff... This whole thing got me thinking that I've probably stumbled somewhere in time upon similar gaming roguelike coding projects with kb limitations, or another tiny world, those of the "one page dungeon"s for tabletop rpgs, these stuff are like rabbit holes inside rabbit holes, a very David Lynchian thing

Some nice ambience and more, especially on part 1 of the above @stéphane F. nice suggestion! No bandcamp link I guess .. ? Dolorous Tolls by Eldritch Wizardryeldritchwizardryofficial.bandcamp.com/album/dolorous-tollsI thoroughly enjoyed this artist's previous releases, so this was a blind buy and how great I got what I wanted : oldschool inspired, unforgetful mesmerising melodies, a top to bottom solid gold release and very much recommended!! If only it was a little bit longer..

np Red Wyvern Tower by Vale Minstrel valeminstrel.bandcamp.com/album/red-wyvern-towerI'm midway through my very first listen through and feel confident that it will keep as strong and solid.. The artist describe his music as "Fantasy Dungeon Synth music" and I think it is spot on describing the music here, things in these places feel more "safe" and merry as in Fantasy music in contrast to the more grim standard Dungeon Synth style, but it succeeds completely in combining the more traditional song structure of DS rather than the soundtrackesque one of the standard fantasy music, but bringing the cozyness of the fantasy realm... All in all, excuse me if I'm stoned and don't make *much* sense but it's a rather very great and lighthearted release that mixes these two worlds as described, good stuff!

Currently listening to Serpent's Isle - The Quiet Lakes. Only recently discovered this project, but i think it's safe to say I'm hooked! The textures and overall soundscape are superb, and the atmosphere is extremely evocative.

Soundtrack for my evening walk, Erang: King of Nothing, Slave to No One. Easily one of my absolute favorites from Erang, up there with Another World Another Time.

Great choices above, both Erang and Sequestered Keep are always guaranteed choices for the full Dungeon Synth experience, the top shelf of the genre, the showcase for someone to lure him into the pleasures of the genre.. Np siegecraft.bandcamp.com/album/noble-infantrymoonworshipper.bandcamp.com/album/noble-infantryOld times inspired, kinda rusty sounding DS, worth the praise comments @ Bandcamp entirely.. It slowly grows into you with repeated listenings as it feels very whole in itself, a pleasant nostalgic trip to some older times, well worth to be checked out by all..

Tonight I'm feeling like going back to some classic sounds, this time of year, waiting for winter to arrive... You get the point..

Lately both albums of CASTLEROCK are on heavy rotation at my house. I love their kinda 'dry' midi sound. This leads to a very unique atmosphere.

Ancient Spirit
Very promising debut track from another Greek artist. Love the sounds over there.

Hello smog , nice post, I 'll check em out one by one, its nice to see recommendations from the .ru side of DS, as already noted by other people, seems like there's still that iron curtain and we miss some stuff lots of times, thanx for the nice recs so... Np What Remains Of Weirlohen by Wydraddearwydraddear.bandcamp.com/album/what-remains-of-weirlohenThis has already some good praise, certainly worth it, lots of nice melodies here and a special sound, the sound has a great rusty I think, or should I say "old" feeling ? It's very nice however you put it, very effective atmospheric - wise, well worth repeated listens

I passed by this album earlier. Now I've listened to it again and I really liked the track "The Warminers Order". Thanks for the tip!
