What are you playing right now? (not tabletop stuff) Post, discuss, ask for recs, etc I have DQVII for 3DS and DQ Builders for PS4 on hold for some reason. Started this up a few days ago: Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru (For the Frog the Bell Tolls) Japanese only GB game but there's an English translation of it. It's pretty silly but really fun. Kind of like an action RPG reminiscent of Zelda. Essentially, you're trying to save the the princess before the rival prince does. There are a lot of frogs and some snakes and stuff. You can transform into creatures with items which allows you to access different places (frog form allows you to swim, snake forum lets you fit under small spaces). The battle system is essentially automatic, you just run into stuff and depending on your stats and equipment you either win or lose, damage taken off depending on how many 'turns' it takes to defeat something. One of the better original GB games. Well worth checking out.

Recently: Last of Us / Kingdom Hearts (First time for both)
Seasonally: Final Fantasy 1-6
Currently: Battlefield 1
I think I take RPGs most seriously but man do I love stupid shooting games.

I just beat Dark Souls III and Caves of Qud and I need a new game. Tried Bloodborne but wasn't really up my alley

Tried Bloodborne but wasn't really up my alley I'm surprised how many Dark Souls fans don't like Bloodborne, I'm assuming it's because of the down-play on RPG elements. DS was easy to me compared to BB. I really love Lovecraftian/weird gothic Victorian aesthetic, so BB really nailed that for me.

haha, im far more into fantasy aesthetic, exploring the dark fantasy world was one of my favorite parts of the game. I do appreciate the combat but Victorian/Gothic horror isn't as appealing to me somehow.

I'm very much addicted to Stardew Valley right now. It's basically Harvest Moon on steroids, entirely made by just one person.

I really want to play this since I love Harvest Moon (HM64 is in my top ten), but it just crashes on my computer. Haven't looked into it, but whatever. I've recently learned about Shepherd's Crossing on PS2 which I'll pick up soon enough. It's another farming kind of game but it's kind of weird, 100% based on trade and bartering instead of money and you can pass time manually instead of just working through.

Yeah, I got way into the N64 Harvest Moon back in the day. If that's in your top ten I think you'll love Stardew Valley.

Was playing Morrowind for awhile (playing off and on for the first time the last 2 years) finally got a good character going but was too busy the last couple weeks.
Lots of Overwatch. Going to invest more time in competitive instead of arcade and quick play this season.
Zelda the past 2 Saturdays on my friend's switch. I want to get one once it's available again.
Witcher 3 Blood & Wine has been on hold the last 6 months. I absolutely loved the base game and Hearts of Stone but I've just been playing other stuff since then.
ESO on hold. Morrowind expansion looks awesome but I rather finish the main question of og Morrowind first and now Zelda has stolen the hype

I am over that addiction already, spent more than 200 hours just to build a perfect farm, do most quests. And yes it is superaddicting. Lately I am very into Elite Dangerous: Horizons, especially with the new Commanders update coming. And I tend to switch from Pillars of Eternity, ESO and Planet Coaster from time to time. It is just what my mood is. And I play pretty often Paragon with my boyfriend, it is still in betΓ‘, but the updates are improving the game a lot. It is very pretty too.

There's the quick play mode where you just hop on a map and play 6v6, there's 3v3, there's 1v1, and now there's custom games with a bunch of different mods and new playstyles. If you like TF2, I'm sure you'll like Overwatch too.

How does Titan Fall 2 match up with things like Battlefield and Team Fortress.

How does Titan Fall 2 match up with things like Battlefield and Team Fortress. I never played Titanfall or Battlefield, but Overwatch is basically Team Fortress 2 dumbed down, like for example, if you wanted to fly with demoman and soldier in TF2, you needed to have some skill to rocket or sticky jump and know how to strafe. If you wanted to be good with scout, you needed to be good with the double jumps. If you wanted to be a good spy, you needed to know the decloak time and stair stabs and fake movement. In overwatch, if you want to fly with pharah or winston, you just press a key and off you go. If you want to be a good flanker, you can climb walls (Genji) or teleport (Tracer). It's just a considerably easier game to play. For competitive, there's a specific queue, where you match up against other people that also want to play competitive, and the match making system does its best to put you on equal grounds on a 6v6 match. It's definitely not like older TF2 on that regard, and the meta is far more open, unlike TF2 where you get shunned if you deviate from the Demo-Medic-Soldier-Soldier-Scout-Scout norm.

Yeah that is what kinda kept me from TF2 as it is older and been played so much without me keeping up with it. I think I enjoy new and fresh shooters since I never progress past the drinking beers with friends stage.
