DieuxDesCimetieres , this looks absolutely ridiculous so I'll have to check it out. This screen shot reminds me of Primal Rage, which is my favorite fighting game. Is it only available on steam? I try not to buy any DRM stuff, mostly stick to GOG for PC downloads. Yeah, Steam only as far as I know. And yes, it is quite ridiculous, but fun. Worth it when on sale; wouldn't dish out full price for it.

Great post, I remember seeing FF7 for the first time on a playstation in my buddy's basement.... blew my mind then and forever changed the way I think about video games. Definitely altered my aesthetic sensibilities for good. I'm looking forward to playing the remake but I should really re-play the old one as well. My job just ended for the season a couple weeks ago so I've been enjoying the opportunity to do some serious gaming. I beat Metal Gear Solid 5 again, with 70% objectives completed, 70% missions S-ranked, and 84% overall completion. I may still go back and try to S-rank some more missions, I'm not dedicated enough to get 100% but I do truly love that game. This year I re-played through every Metal Gear Solid game (except I did not beat MGS2 yet, I need to go back and finish it). I also did a cosplay of Snake from MGS3: Snake Eater (photos here). Finishing the final game was honestly more emotional than I thought it would be. These games have become a major part of my life... I can honestly say that I love them. I also just beat Sekiro. Incredible game, very very beautiful, very very challenging. I chose the "Sad" ending (Purification), I will most likely play through again on NG+ and get the "Happy" ending (Dragon's Return). At times I truly did not think I was going to be able to beat this game, so it was very rewarding to finally finish. Has anybody else been playing this? I also just beat Blasphemous, another very cool game. Mechanically frustrating at times but the lush art design more than makes up for it. I got the bad ending in this one, I didn't even realize there was multiple endings but luckily you can continue playing after the game ends so I will most likely go back and do more. Next up on my roster: - Get the good ending for Sekiro - Get the good ending for Blasphemous - Finish MGS2 - I've been thinking about playing through Dark Souls 1 Remastered again, my girlfriend has never seen it before and I think she would like it. MGS is probably my favorite game franchise personally. I never finished MGS5 though and want to go back and do that some time. I'm currently playing through Death Stranding when I have the time for it. Sekiro is really awesome. I played through it twice over the summer and got the platinum trophy in it on PS4 as well. It's a fantastic game and is definitely among the top ones I've played this year. I really want to try out Blasphemous because the aesthetic looks amazing and I love metroidvania style games. For me I've recently finished up Bloodstained Ritual of the Night and am looking to possibly try and 100% it during winter break. I already mentioned I'm playing Death Stranding as well. Once break hits I might finally try and replay FFVII before the remake comes out, I'm also going to use the time to probably replay the prequel, Crisis Core, as well. My backlog is very large though so I might end up picking up like a few more games between now and the end of the year.

I discovered that the original Starcraft is 100% free, and for 15e you get a remastered version of it (mainly just updated graphics). The remaster is superb, it retains basically everything from the original game and doesn't really alter the graphics, just makes them sharper. Like one review said, "makes Starcraft look like I rememer it looked, not how it really looks like." My favourite RTS of all time, and still a great game. Never got around to beating it back in the early noughties, maybe this time around.

It's a quiet, calming experience that happens to be fun.

Like a fishing rpg from the makers of Harvest Moon.

Fans of text adventures here? Here's an entirely AI driven text adventure, which reacts to any input. Basically you can do anything. It has a variety of settings, fantasy being the recommended one. A word of warning: it turns surreal quickly. In my first adventure, I french kissed a black dragon, hacked it to pieces and became the destroyer of worlds and destroyed the world. It's also somewhat unstable, but definitely fun. www.aidungeon.io/(It's an online game. Takes a bit of patience to get it running, but the instructions are on the page)

There;s nothing better than playing good old text adventures and listening to some appopriate DS mate.. Unfortunately I'm very alienated to the current IF community of the 2010s which has strayed from TEXT adventures to those usually-minimum-effort Choose Your Own Adventure stuff that dominates half of the IF competition... I still enjoy loading up legendary good old Zork(still own my Infocom solid gold release ) for the vibes and I have a big list of to play text adventures (restart Zork Zero, play all Spellcasting trilogy, endless stuff still to play ) ..

Woah, THQ Nordic released a playable teaser/demo/prototype of a remake for the cult classic cRPG Gothic. And it was actually quite promising! Never thought I'd see the day. Now I just hope they make the damn game.

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice, Gothic series need a remaster imho, and if you don't mind, some quality of living stuff from modern era, even optional for those who prefer the original experience.. I've tried to get into Gothic 1 at least 3 times, all three just being left aside and later restarting and droping it again.. But it has gained so much praise I always felt ashamed I never gave it the chance.. Great news..!!

Now I just hope they make the damn game. I can't believe I still haven't played it yet. I'm a die-hard Gothic fan. I even loved the Risen games, but admittedly have been struggling off and on to get into Elex. I'm kind of worried about a Gothic remake tbh, might be why I haven't played it yet, but still I really want to feel in the right mood to fully appreciate a Piranha Bytes game.
