Dieux Des Cimetières is a project that combines dungeon synth, neofolk, neoclassical and martial industrial with overtones of gothic horror music. Thematically, I guess, DDC is a bit out in left field in comparison to most dungeon synth, as I do not deal with medieval and fantasy themes, but instead concentrate on European philosophical, political and cultural history, especially the early 20th century, as well as its present and future; music for a romanticized past, a despised present and a lost future. Musically, however, I think a lot of DDC's material fits very snugly into dungeon synth. Currently, I have four digital EP releases out, which can be streamed and bought at Bandcamp: cimetieres.bandcamp.com/. Other links: Facebook Twitter

Premiering a new track from my forthcoming EP, An Eternity Of Oppression: Kamrarna Av Vår Dolda Skam. This track doesn't really represent the style of the whole EP, but it contains some of my most experimental tracks yet, and this is certainly the most oddball track in the DDC discography so far.

I just heard that track and I like it. To me it sounds mostly like DS, and it sounds hopeful.

I just heard that track and I like it. To me it sounds mostly like DS, and it sounds hopeful. Thanks. As I'm sure you realized, the song is actually the traditional Danny Boy. Which has a rather positive feel to it, despite the lyrics being far less than sunny. I like the contrast of the melody and the lyrics.

New EP bearing the name of Nihil Nihil Nihil is now out digitally via Bandcamp: cimetieres.bandcamp.com/album/nihil-nihil-nihil. Four tracks with a total playtime of ca. 20 minutes, this time focusing more on the orchestral side of things.

I am currently hard at work on the next release, which will be called Bellum Contra Se Ipsum (War Against Yourself); this release combines the neoclassical dungeon folk of previous releases with not only more prominent, percussive martial elements, but also a considerable amount of retro/synthwave and 80's synthesizer elements. The core, however, remains true to the established DDC sound: majestic, melancholic, nostalgic, sorrowful, introspective. Tracks range from the more traditional dungeon folk sound with bombastic orchestration and wistful, aching lead melodies to tracks with lush, warm 80's synths and apreggiated bass lines combined with soft acoustic guitars, not forgetting a deeply gothic horror element with dramatic organs and haunting theremin.
I have uploaded one track from the release to Youtube, which represents the sound of the release well (but not completely) and gives an idea of what to expect:
If any label would be interested in releasing this in any format, just hit me up! I will myself contact labels once the release is complete (there are still a few ideas for tracks I have in the back of my head), but I figure it doesn't do any harm to mention already now, here, that I am interested in seeing a physical release of this, in some format.
Feedback is also appreciated! Thanks for your attention!

I've just had a quick listening (there are people around so I can't listen carefully), and it sounds great as usual I don't know if people like when we compare them to other bands, but maybe you'll enjoy Stoa for their orchestrations, I was listening to this in my younger age. For example this one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NfwwVi7Cuw

Never heard of sToa before! I don't mind comparisons to other artists - after all, we don't exist in a void and we're bound to sounds like someone out there - and listening to this, I myself can't hear that much resemblance (my stuff sounds so primitive compared to this!), but if you do, I am honored as I really like this stuff! So, thanks for sharing, I'll have to keep this name in mind. On another note, all of my EP's are now available on Spotify, so if you use it, I would be grateful if you'd listen to even one or two songs, because getting the stuff there cost me some money, and every play helps me recoup some of the cost. You can also find the EP's on Google Play, Apple Music, iTunes and a throng of other streaming/download platforms. And, as always, on Bandcamp of course.

DDC's new release is out now! 35+ minutes of neoclassical dungeon folk with heavy retrosynth influences. Hymns for the eternal war against the self and for a world free from hope. You can buy the digital release on BandCamp or Google Play (BC is a lot cheaper), or stream it from Spotify. It will be arriving on other online platforms in the upcoming week.

Glad you like it! I may yet release this on some physical format in the future, when I have the funds. Sadly, none of the labels I approached expressed interest at least right now.
