As some of you, I used to upload my musical creations to SoundCloud. I see some of you still use it. I ended leaving that platform because every change they made was making the site worse. Wonderful tools like the "groups" were removed. Now you can't even click over the wave form to go to a specific part of the song (at least I can't), and instead we've got just a timeline at the bottom of the page in which we cannot see the comments. Those are just two examples, there are many other negative things, like many bugs and the reduced amount of options for the user now.
By now I mainly use Bandcamp to upload my music, and sometimes Youtube. Soundcloud wasn't the first platform to suffer very bad changes. The case of Last.fm was worse. I left that site too. What once was a quite customizable and useful page, ended being somethng ridiculously static and with very few options for the user. What are your thoughts on this? Some of you might even remeber the case of myspace, long ago. Why do good music platforms tend to ruin themselves? I really hope Bandcamp stays like this forever.

I agree totally. I've been using Soundcloud for many years, and ever since I registered, it seems like every change was a change for the worse. Especially the removal of the groups was totally crippling, and a big step in all the wrong directions; IMO, the social aspect of Soundcloud was always half-assed at best, but removing it almost completely was NOT the way to go.
Bandcamp is great, but I feel it isn't really a good place for sharing individual tracks, previews from coming releases etc. I guess it's Youtube from now on.

I've never liked Soundcloud. Youtube and Bandcamp are all I need.

Maybe they made changes only on some accounts, because I can still click on the waveform and I also see the comments on it. I didn't use the group feature much so it's not a problem for me, but it's a pity they removed such a feature anyway.
So far I find Soundcloud rather satisfying for my needs. Bandcamp is great, but as someone already pointed out, it's more for complete albums. Youtube is for videos and I don't like the idea to encode a special version of my music in video instead of just uploading a sound file.

What browser do you use with which you can click on the waveform? And well, Bandcamp is just working fine with me for single tracks.

Yeah, that's what I see, changes for the worse in pretty much all the music platforms (including youtube) except Bandcamp. Maybe someone should create a new site. Youtube for previews and promos is OK, but to share individual tracks I prefer Bandcamp, as it is more immediate (you don't have to create a video for the audio).

It's html5 and standard I guess so I don't understand why it shouldn't work likewise on other plateforms. I'll try to test it. Maybe it's because of the country? They might change some features gradually?
