What did you listen from Summoning ? Maybe we can help get you introduced since they have a big discography and I think there's something for everyone there.. If you didn't like Summoning then I guess you'll definitely won't like Burzum besides his ambient songs, so essential instrumentals from him are Tomhet(one of the best ambient tracks ever), Han Som Reiste(one of the first DS songs besides Basil Polidouri's stuff etc), A Crying Orc(another classic short instrumental lots of DS and BM covers), De Liebe Nerpus (another great song with endless covers by other bands) and a couple more..

I listened to the minus morgal album, and was turned off by track 2 (?) with the metal and the vocals, but I listened to the first track from the summoning/mirkwood Silenis' side project demo from 1996, and that was awesome! I like the dark ambient stuff, low on vocals. Thanks for replying.

Minas Morgul is their second album, rough around the edges but great, still it is not recommended that you start from there. A usual entry album for many is Dol Goldur, but imho Stronghold is one of the best albums ever made in any genre, so that should be a must listen too, but also Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame is also total masterpiece/golden.. So these 3 are the 3 musts if you wanna take a good glimpse (I hope you do cause they are totally worth it).. p.s. NOTE : the vocals are mostly black metal in all of them, but they are very epic as well as the lyrics which are top notch and mostly from various literature works (not only JRR Tolkien)..
