Glad to see some new activity from this blog again. Always provided some of the most well thought out and in-depth dungeon synth reviews, imo.

maybe DS blogs are like highlanders where there can only be one active at a time? but regardless this one seems to be back. I count 3-4 new reviews since the last hiatus. hearthedungeons.tumblr.com/

He is also on Facebook now (Hearthe Dungeons). I don't use Tumblr and I can't comment, but this blog contains very detailed and keen opinions. It's clear the writter has a wide knowledge about music theory, instrumentation and the particularities of the genre.

I thoroughly enjoy reading this because they contain HONESTY.
I saw some people/artists expressed displeasure with this author even going to far as to say 'they don't like dungeon synth.'
I don't understand that sentiment. People can still love DS and be critical. Or point out something they notice.
Writing is like art or music to me; the author has the right to say what they feel and nobody should tell them otherwise.
I think it's a breath of fresh air reading detailed reviews with integrity and passion and with no second thoughts on saying something they don't like or agree with about a particular release.
