Skepticism "Stormcrowfleet" is one of the best and closest to DS atmosphere to me.
I like other types of Doom Metal of course but such a great song for starting the thread.

I enjoy "Stormcrowfleet", but "Farmakon" & "Lead and Aether" are both something magical to my ears. They take me to a place few bands can.

Now, My Dying Bride mid / late period is not very cult I guess, but I really like Songs of Darkness, Words of Light, great gothic doom, the way it should be done...

Songs of Darkness IS my favorite MDB album. Second one I heard, first one I fell in love with. Favorite song is either A Doomed Lover, Catherine Blake or Blue Lotus.

There's something about that album, actually it is very heavy and dark even with all romanticism and stuff, never gets boring to me as well, great songs. |

Candlemass is one of my all-time favorite bands, and there's a fair amount of Dungeon Synthy stuff in there.
Below is also a great band, even though they just sound like a Candlemass knockoff.
I'm a huge doom fan, so I'll be back to post more.

I think some of my favorite doom/stoner metal bands include the classics ( Sleep, Toke, Bongripper, etc.) but I've also been into a band called Thou recently, as well as some darker stuff on the DS side. Skeleton War 2 is one of my all time favorite artists right now (the music is so crunchy! St Vitus is incredible as well. I love Scott Reagers as a vocalist, he's very underrated.
