Elements from various genres in the mix, though the band is self described "Floridian Funeral Doom". BM vocals at times, sparse tremolo and solos, synth interludes, it all adds up to something out of the box to my ears. This sounds so alien and weird. It leans into death metal a lot but I'd still totally call it funeral doom. Anyway, I don't really care what genre they or anyone else want to call it, that album is well-thought out and boundary pushing and I love it. Great find, emerge!

Frowning - Death Requiem:
This amazing album came out about a month ago. Here's one of the promo tracks. Spellbinding stuff from my personal favourite funeral doom metal band. The inclusion of some covers might seem odd but as always, Val Atra Niteris inventively makes them his own. Frowning's second album wasn't always quite up-to-par in my opinion but this through and through is.

The Angelic Process - Weighing Souls With Sand:
Classic album from a band sadly no longer together. I debated putting this up on the Shoegaze thread but decided it's a little too metal for that. This album is so airy, vast and sad; though the vocals are a touch rough in places. The title-track is a must listen.
