As Ky kicks down the door a rope tightens and a crude dagger trap hurls a dagger across the left side of his face.
Ky's Saving throw to avoid danger is a 14. So I will roll a d20 and for Ky's sake hope it is a 14 or above.
6t9AI|UO1d20
The knife plunges into Ky's neck mixing his own blood with vagrant's blood.
Ky takes 1d4 of damage. He has 4 HP so unless this roll is not on your side, you will be injured but fine.
1d4
Ky is fine...sort of, the crude dagger sticks out of his neck as he gurgles to see a an empty room with no windows and no body in the room.

Er Nu looks through the papers and find arcane writing over most of them. Cryptic diagrams mix with unholy incantations mark these grim papers as the work of some necromancer. Er Nu comes across a rolled scroll with a writing all over it.
0iHOf8zY1-18
The writing on it is readable but in gibberish. It just says "Cordless Curl" 7 times. The only words that make sense are at the top which state: "read this outloud and be wealthy for ever"
Er Nu heard from the other room "By the gods, what are you doing?" followed by cursing and more falling. 1-18

Ned is thrilled to see his stone connect with the Kobold's face. He is pleased to see that his Dwarven militia training has not yet abandoned him. He quickly hustles over to the fallen corpse, past the astonished and congratulatory humans, and begins digging out his stone from the ruined skull. It is a beautiful example of a striated rose quartz and he is certainly not going to leave it in the brain-cavity of some filthy monster. Once this is done, he will pat down the corpse for any useful items. "Finders, Keepers" is the Law of the Dwarven Prospectors. Assuming this is all completed successfully, he will go over to where Nes & Veldeen are addressing the human Guardsman. Assuming he overhears the part about the giant petrifying lizard, he responds brusquely: "And why should I risk my neck for you, human, short though it be? There had better be a reward in it - for I crave gems, of great size and lustre! and precious metals, as well!" not sure if you saw my post kaptain, i stupidly accidentally made a placeholder and then edited it later...

Er Nu, thinking he's finally caught a lucky break, ignores the sounds from the other room and does his best to phonetically intone the words on the page.

((Got that edit now! I think itll just be easier even if you are a few pages back int he story to just state what you are doing at the time. I am sort of doing this to see if the story goes along naturally running side by side. I think I can handle two separate stories but if you all break into your own Individual stories, I am killing everyone with their own dragons))
Veldeen, Ned and Nas are discussing their options with the guardsmen as he soothes the dwarf. Of course there are riches. As much as ye can carry. Happenstance was build on the site of an old mine. Nevermind that it was once used as a labyrinthian prison by a cruel wizard and its inhabitants now turned into mutated shades of humanity that crave the flesh of the living, just think about all the riches you will find once down there! He smiles and hands a large bronze key to Ned, points to a large rusted gate on the far side of the street, and then scampers off while the group is looking the other way.
"Thanks for helping us" he says while trailing off into the distance, "be sure to lock up when you are done!"

Ned thinks to himself, "This could be an opportunity for interesting geological research." "Very well!" he prounounces, "I will help you, human!" Ned turns to Nes, and appraises the man. He is familiar with the god Paladine. Ned prefers the ancient Gods of the Dwarven Pantheon - Regni the Crippled Smith, Dvalin the Sleeping One, and of course Armok, whose beard drips with gore. Nevertheless, some Dwarfs have turned to the God Paladine, and Ned appreciates his stern values of justice and watchfulness. "Ho, priest, well met. I am Ned Quas Ro, a vagabond Prospector. Your fighting style is... interesting, but perhaps this is the way of humans. Nonetheless, your spirit is brave like a Dwarf's. Will you help me defeat this lizard which troubles these humans?" As for the Elf, Ned shares some of the prejudice of his kin but he cannot deny the woodlore of the Elves, which can often come in handy. "You can come, too, Elf, if you want." (Edit: Did Ned find anything on that Kobold corpse he searched?)

Nedzer scans the room, looking for any additional traps. He finds none, so he carefully steps in, looking for the source of the feeble voice he had heard earlier.

((ILL TELL YOU IF YOU FIND ANY TRAPS DAMN IT!))
Nedzer scans the room and finds no traps. A sound of a large beast and Ky's strained blood loss can be heard around the room as Nedzer spies a large wooden wardrobe which looks to be hinged on one side. Also around the room is a clothes chest at the end of the bed and a nightstand.

((I said I FOUND no traps. I didn't say there were none.))
Nedzer slowly moves over to the bed, making himself as unthreatening as possible. He scans the room as he goes, trying to pinpoint where the animal noises are coming from.

The animal sounds appear to be coming from the next room where Er Nu went in and started to look around. Nedzer places his ear against the wall leading out to the hallway and hears a horrid sound.
