Naming a project can be a bit hard, but as toodarkpark said, it's best to choose a name, leave it for some time while you're working on your project then see if it still sounds nice to you. It can also be a name that goes well with the overall theme you have in your tracks/albums. I personally chose Gavran as it means Raven in my native tongue, doesn't have too much to do with my project theme but I've liked the animal since I was young.

I named my project after my first album was recorded. When I came to mix and edit the material, a month or so later, this name made sense given the nature of the music. Nahadoth is a character in N.K. Jemisinβs Inheritance Trilogy, and is a fallen god with a very mutable appearance.

Mainly mine is named after an npc in a d&d campaign who was intended to be a throwaway plot device, that everyone ended up getting attached to. I also thought it sounded unique, so it stuck.

I found the name Maelifell in a magazine when I was 16-17 and starting to record my first DS tracks. I thought it sounded cool and looked no further.
Arden comes from the novels " Nine Princes in Amber " by Roger Zelazny. It's a forest. The name comes from a french region, Ardennes, which is not far from where I live.
