After moving through a dark dense fir and pine forest you fall down before the entrance. Tired and confused, you are considering escaping into the opening in the wall or returning to shadows among the trees.
Your turn!

Into the wall opening... It could be our only chance

As you take your chances fleeing into the wall you leave the cold darkness of the outside behind just to be overwhelmed by the heavy silence of the tunnels.
The outlines and the nasty corners of the walls are barely visible in the dark. If you venture any deeper you fear that your sight would not be able to penetrate the blackness.
The main corridor continues ahead. there is a tunnel opening to the right.
You can see two shining eyes staring back at you further down the main tunnel.
Your turn!

I crouch low and feel around the walls of the corridor, following where they lead and searching perhaps for a sign of what is around . . . or what is to come.

You feel your way with bare hands over the gruesome stone floor. Just before the hope leaves you, your hand finds a sharp flint stone. It can probably never be used as a weapon but in the absence of anything else you take the stone with you. The silence is overwhelming. The darkness is washing over you like hateful ocean waves in a storm.
When you look up, you see that the eyes that guarded you are no longer present.
The tunnel continues into uncertainty. The opening in the left wall mocks you with its open wide.
Your turn!

We must proceed through the opening on the left. It will do no good to corner a beast in its lair. Let us clutch our sharp rock tightly in our fist and stumble blindly along the floor to the left

You crawl in along the cold granite floor with only the impenetrable blackness before your defeatist eyes. Your trembling timorous hands and hurting knees pass over stone and pebble until they are perturbed when crunching dried and soft unknown. As you feel your way over uncertain fabric and what must be bone you stop. A feeble and unlasting light grows from further down the long narrow shaft as you realize you have crept up among old dried out bodies wrapped in parched fabrics.
The light dies out and you are left with the darkness and death swelling all around you.

Do we have flint and steel or some way to start a fire? If so I'd like to make a torch with the fabric and one of the bones.

the stone we found before was flint. We could try knocking it against the walls in the faint hope of producing a spark.

You break loose a crispy piece of human cadaver and wrap it with dried cloth. This would surely light up like a makeshift torch if you could produce a spark. As you tap the flint against the stone wall you produce a loud thunderous blast that echos away through cold unknown. You fail to draw a spark and dare not to keep tapping in fear of what might be listening. Silently you wait for something to make itself known as you just have. But there is nothing but silent and darkness.

I try to take a better exemination at the corpses, as much possible in this chocking darkness. What killed them, how? What are we dealing with?

Your hands maps out the old bodies. You count nothing less than five individuals all big enough to be adults.
There is no items to be found.
You feel appalled by yourself for tinkering about with the dead.

Let's try to quietly sneak further along, toward where we last saw the light before it went out.

Will weak and exhausted, you crawl along through the darkness.
Your eyes shows you nothing but tricks and illusions of feverish imagination. The sound of emptiness draws a picture in your mind of your surroundings.
There is nothing but unknown darkness and cold black stone ahead while only nameless horror behind.
You stop and realize that there is nothing left of your memories, purpose or self image.
