I'm looking for something ocean related, something that sounds like you're Sailing or underwater. I've tried to find some by name but that often doesn't really work the way I want it to. Ur Pale is a great example, Sea Synth Ensemble doesn't sound like the sea Although the music is not intended to remind you of the sea, the audio I composed for Aufhocker's album, "The Journey", was intended to be a soundtrack for the journey Norman soldiers took across the English channel to England during the Norman Invasion of Britain. aufhocker.bandcamp.com/album/the-journey

I'm looking for some desert, sand dungeon synth and with the same feeling that in the "Dark Tower" series by Stephen King. so yea if anyone has somethin like that, hit me uยจp The Wizard Murcec often has that vibe, makes me think of the Spirit Temple from Ocarina of Time. Maybe he uses middle-eastern scales? Thanks for the suggestion but it's a little too up-beaty for me :/, i'm really looking for a sound that feels like you're in a desert, so something a bit drony but warm but still that either helplessness/isolation you can find in dungeon synth. I'm sorry if i am not very clear, it's hard to describe exactly what i need

I'd definitely recommend most of the projects from the Voldsom roster, such as Til Det Bergens Skyggene, Yearner, Visions Of Niften and Inwendt Faerte. Really obscure but masterfully create ambient music! Listen or buy digital releases here: voldsomtapes.bandcamp.com/musicBuy physical copies (mostly DIY tapes) here: voldsom.net/index_index.html

Ur Pale is a great example, Sea Synth Ensemble doesn't sound like the sea To a large extent, sensory associations are in the eye (ear?) of the beholder, very subjective. Sometimes the music's lyrical or visual concept might trigger such associations even if same music would have evoked entirely different vibes had it been packaged under entirely different visuals. Have you tried Trogool? Not just because some of the tracks carry a watery theme in their title, and not just because of his latest album's front cover. There is a sparkling radiance woven throughout this music, makes me envision specks of light upon foaming waves and the rainbow sunsets over distant seas. Earphones are a must. But then again, Ur Pale's Water Tombs and Crimson Horizons gave me a similarly nautical feeling, so your mileage will vary. This album is different from Sea Synth and I enjoy it more. Overall though, it's all imagination. I mean, some pure black metal can sound like you're drowning or submerged in watery deeps via cascading riffs, without any nautical gimmicks in music or concept. For breezy ocean adventure vibes, perhaps dungeon synth is not the genre to address it.

I like the feels of the album, but i'm still looking something "less" musical if you catch my drift, something field recordings or that way. Thx for the suggestion tho, was a nice listen

Looking for more epic, melancholic, and lo-fi DS in the vein of Depressive Silence I know of the two members' side projects already I've been finding it hard to find such layered and complex dungeon synth that is also lo-fidelity Generally the more modern projects that are close to this style of DS seem to have rather clean sounding production This unfortunately doesn't scratch my itch

Id like to hear more of the early stuff like pre bandcamp era Scour the dungeon synth tag for Asmodian Coven (as well as the 'keyboard music' tag). It's been a very important resource in the collection and exposure of old tapes now under the DS banner. He was actually a forum member but he's dropped off the internet for some time now. I also have a rarities blog here. Still have quite the queue of things to upload, but there should be enough between these two resources to slake your thirst. I believe everything on these two blogs is on the Dungeon Synth Archives Youtube channel as well.

Based in Arthurian legend, the sound on the epic side but produced almost exclusively by hand with an old keyboard, so itโs not as clean in tones or production as a lot of modern epic projects. Ultimately it feels connected more to VGM than trad DS to me, but it might tick a few of your boxes. pendragonking.bandcamp.com
