Hails Digol, I am sorry for the late feedback. I enjoyed listening to the album on bandcamp. After multiple listens I deceided to buy the tape and it was the right decision. I like the atmospheres that are created, especially on 'Faru A Feorland'. The title is Anglo-Saxon and stands for 'A journey to a far land', am I right? For me I feel like this listening to the song. Also the drums on track 5 are well placed. Keep the work going!

Thanks stormcrow - very kind. Your 'General Winter' record is really good - so that's a flattering comparison, thanks! And as for the drums, I was hoping with this (and future releases) to try and explore around the edges of a 'proto-dungeon synth' sound, using a few textures and devices (like more driving kick/snare rhythms) which are not so much part of the 'classic' dark-dungeon-synth sound... we'll see if this experiment is worth while...
Thanks Metachasm - please do!
Hails mithrandir, many thanks for buying a tape, I'm pretty proud of them as an object as well as the sound, so glad you picked one up. You are right about the title! Although, one way of translating it suggested it should be 'feorlund' - but I didn't think properly when I got the tapes printed, so 'feorland' it is. Either way I'm glad you felt the spirit of the track - thanks!

Niice Digol, I've already commented on the previous page of what a gem your release is but this review definitely does it justice in its own right, from the introduction to the more specific commenting a worthwhile read to accompany the listen itself!!

Greetings all, The plague rages on and I hope you are all staying as safe as you can. I've now added The Faded Kingdom to Youtube (only just over a year late, so pretty quick for me), because I know some people like to listen to stuff on there and it seems a good place to put it for posterity. www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGYMiNO9TbA&ab_channel=GlomstridenIn addition, I'm working on some follow ups to the first record, which I hope are still going to be DS-adjacent enough to not have me kicked off the forum (joking). There's a full bodied follow up to The Faded Kingdom, which is a bit more black metal in places, and a more experimental piece I'm working on that leans a bit more Neofolk (with vocals), all of which is in my plan to release this year. Thanks to all of you making and listening to the music.

Hails all. I'm not posting much at the moment, and have been very slow to release new music, but If you'll tolerate a bit of a deviation from your standard DS into a more Neofolk realm, please check out my new track Gryregæst. glomstriden.bandcamp.com/track/gryreg-stIt is a sigil. To contact the spirits outside, and request them to aid you against the evil and unjust. Please let me know what you think...

Just listened to your newest track, found it very meditative. The vocals felt ritualistic, a welcome addition.
