Hey Sebastian! Glad to hear you're working on a zine. That's super cool and I hope it goes well. I love Poland--I played a couple shows over there in Poznan and Warsaw with my heavy metal band earlier this year and I really enjoyed the few days we spent there. Feel free to check out my new album from ENCLOAKED if you want to cover some newer material. The album was released in digital form two weeks ago and the lads at Skaventhrone are doing a limited tape for January 2020. encloaked.bandcamp.com/releasesBest, Jeff Hey, which heavy metal band? I'm listening to Encloaked right now and love it, even though the appearance of guitars made me raise my eyebrow a bit (not a synth thing to do, is it?). I would love to feature you in the next episode. Right now the issue is almost done. I'm waiting for the last strokes which are not up to me. Guys from Psyclopean, Sidereal Fortress and Encloaked: please write me a msg here, if you have facebook: www.facebook.com/Karkasonne Thanks to that we will have a ready anchor for the future! Thank you in advance. Hey I don't have/do Facebook. What might you need from Psyclopean? You can email me at altrusiangracemedia (at) gmail.com

Hey!
I've seen sharing the cover of the zine around social media and I've been getting a lot of questions asking where people can find more details and if there will be a digital edition of the zine available? Is there any sort of Facebook or blog page I can direct people to who are asking?

Hey! I've been getting a lot of questions asking where people can find more details me too. It seems the paper version will be sold through DS groups on Facebook, that's what the guy behind the 'zine told me.

Yeah, you know, the problem with digital copies is always the same: once someone shares them, there is no sense in selling them, and I'll be left with a ton of paper. Shit happens.

Coming back here after a hiatus on the forum to start heralding Dungeon Synth Zine #3. Heralding Dungeon Synth Zine #3, pt. 5: CERNUNNOS WOODS! If you're gonna use bones in your pics, use a digital camera!
In dungeon synth there are those who have been here for five minutes, and those who have been here since forever... Those who had no idea of the dark ages of this music, and those who started Dark Age Productions at that timeβ¦ Those who are mostly into anime and games, and those who pondered darkly how to dechristianize the world. Generally speaking, Bard Algol who is behind Cernunnos Woods falls into those second categories. Itβs always a pleasure to interview someone who is already slowly turning into a monument of this music. When your transformation into a statue is complete, Bard, just one piece of advice from meβ¦ Beware of the pigeons. DS Zine: At some point you said you were almost arrested for desecration, werenβt you? Bard Algol: Ha ha yeah! Some friends and I took a bunch of photos in a graveyard with some skull and bones and I took them to Walmart to get them developed and the lady who did the film called the cops on me. When I went to pick them up about 5 guys in plain clothes surrounded me, I thought I was gonna get jumped by a bunch of rednecks who must not like whatever clothes I was wearing but they identified themselves as cops and explained that I had to come with them and answer questions about the photos I had developed. So after an interrogation I had a certain date that I had to bring in the photo props by or I would be arrested and my home searched. So I always tell bands today if you're gonna use bones in your pics use a digital camera! We didn't have the luxury of cameras on a cell phone back then.

Heralding Dungeon Synth Zine #3, pt. 6: EVILNOX!
"Sometimes it is enough to look at the starry sky"evilnox.bandcamp.comDo you know whatβs captivating about Rux Minn, the man behind Evilnox? He doesnβt beat beat about the bush. If he thinks that something is wrong, you will know that. If he hates something, you will have no doubts about it. This is so different from the Western world, where everyone is afraid of the slightest sight of criticism. Of course, weβre not evaluating either approach here. This is not the point. So whatβs the point? Itβs to show that dungeon synth is in fact a reflection of all the world, all the colours of the palette! West and East, North and South! Introvert, extrovert, melody and noise! We are all in this together. Evilnox is here to show you that things can be done differently. Do you agree with him? DS Zine: I noticed that quite often you say that the contemporary dungeon synth scene is crap and full of plastic. Why do you think so? Aren't you afraid of harsh criticism to come back to you? Rux Minn: Yes, I said that. But I don't want to offend anyone. I've been following the DS scene for a long time. Since 2012. And I made this conclusion for myself. If a musician creates an album in the DS genre, and also sells it, they must take it seriously. In the 90βs, it was very hard to record a DS album, there were no such technologies as there are now. They must respect listeners. DS came from black metal. DS reflected the worldview of black metal musicians of that time. It was fabulous, dark, atmospheric music. It has nothing to do with Christianity, it has nothing to do with Christmas songs or cartoon soundtracks. This is uncompromising music. This is atmospheric and cold music, which has no place in modern pop culture. DS is a mystery of sounds, it is a whisper in the Transylvanian forests, it is a dark melody from the Northern lands. This is a synthetic homage to tradition and ancestors. Many listeners and many famous and even cult DS musicians agree with me.
