Hi,
I would love to take part in your zine! My music is on Bandcamp here landspirit.bandcamp.com/ if you think it will be suitable for what you want to talk about. I'm more than happy to do a Facebook interview with you...I'm British so I definitely don't take myself seriously in slightest!
Cheers!

A lot of reading in front of you;) the feather is real, but no worries, birds lose them sometimes without any violence involved. Those are the ones I found all around the world, from Morocco to Japan. Nice, thanx for the info!! On topic, indeed, I started #1 and I immediately liked how dense it is.. The pages have small size letters and I like how it fits the oldschool photocopy feel of it.. Also, the drawings in #1 which I'm reading are excellent and top spot on, exactly what you'd expect from such a zine, evoking drawings and atmospheres.. The interviews themselves are also very interesting, been already through the first 2-3 and I like that you try to ask about different things, which sometimes could also end up awkward as with the response you got from an artist when asking him what he sings in the bathroom.. Tbh I might have responded more negative, lol .. Great stuff all in all, enjoying the ride and taking my time with this !

Great stuff all in all, enjoying the ride and taking my time with this ! #1 was very experimental as it was the first time we'd ever done anything like that, but I was happy to encounter some really good talkers, perhaps better than my lack of experience deserved... interviews with Lord Lovidicus, Malfet, Torchlight, Barbaric Frost etc are still among my favorites of all time. I don't remember the bathroom question but if it backfired, well, shit happens - with some, this kind of questions worked like a charm;)

Man, this issue looks great. Will be sure to pre-order sometime tonight after work. I'll try to catch up on a couple back issues as well. I'm especially looking forward to the articles on Secret Stairways and gaming. I feel that the modern movement of Dungeonsynth finds deep roots in both topics.
As many of us age, it seems that the soundtracks to old RPGs and adventure games have become living links to our personal mythologies. On revisiting them now, I don't often have the giddy expectation of adventure and achievement of conquering a new (or old) game; instead, I tend to reflect on the aesthetics and story, and how they have informed my imagination and experience over the years. The soundtracks are especially important to me now.
I heard Secret Stairways for the first time over a decade ago. It is really special music; a vision of melancholy and bitter-sweet ephemera that spoke to my experience at the time, and does still to this day.

Mind you that Secret Stairways is part 2, part 1 is in issue #4. As for the personal mythologies of gaming, absolutely 100% agree, for me it's mostly Diablo. I'm considering contacting Matt Uelmen for a conversation as well.

Though Diablo II is the more realized game, there was nothing quite like the plunge into Hell beneath that chapel of ghouls... The ambience of Diablo I is perfect. That would be a great interview to pursue for the Zine. I could name many games, but the soundtracks and ambience of Legacy of Kain Blood Omen and Soulreaver I & II are fantastic. They were so seamless with the landscape of that grim Shakespearean story. That series has fallen into obscurity, and it is a damn shame, because it contained some of the best writing and voice-work ever achieved in the medium.

Just got my copies of #4 and #5. Really impressed with the quality of the interviews, and the depth of perspective with all the artists. Layout and art is exceedingly welldone.
Well worth the gold coins I spent.
Killer work, DSZ.
