Hey folks. Not sure where to post a "can you listen to my demo" thread. Apologies if this isn't the place. I've been working on a concept album heavily influenced by DS. You can listen to a demo here EDIT: I went ahead and released the full album. Thanks for the feedback. Although the influence of DS is there, but I've had differing opinions on whether the music qualifies as DS. Thought I'd bring it you all here, as this is one of the few places I could find to get a sampling. I'm not interested in remaking early Mortiis or embarking on another LOTR quest (though I love both of those styles). Trying to experiment with something new. Anyway, I'd appreciate any and all feedback. I'm doing everything myself and learning it all on the way. Cheers.

If somebody played this to me without any further info, I would tag it as cinematic or something similar, even though it has elements one can find DS-esque.

To me it sounds like it could come out of a video game. But rather first person shooter than the role playing type. I also hear some metal in there. I remember there was some Slayer and Metallica riffs in the soundtrack of the first Doom from the 90's.
I would not worry to much about what genre it belongs to.

Innovative style, cool melodies, lots of polished but not overproduced. Excellent work! I've been tinkering with some similar ideas lately, so this is exactly the kind of stuff I'm looking to hear right now. "Dungeonwave" seems like a great way to refer to this style. I hope you continue with this concept.

I can definitely hear a lot of DS influence here, as you said, and I have no trouble saying that this is DS-adjacent at least, but as said before, no need to get too hung up on trying to fit a label on this. This album is great, and it should rejoice in how difficult it is to define. Really good work
