man this is great, esp the first track is a awesome hook! it seems we have a new generation of hi-fi stuff, like Encloaked and now your project. To me, this is absolutely welcome, but don't know how the DS community will react...

To me, this is absolutely welcome, but don't know how the DS community will react... Thanks kind Sir! I can't take full credit for the first tune though. It's an arrangement of an 800 year old English song called "Miri It Is While Sumer Ilast" I really love early medieval music and thought it would be fun to do my own version of this ancient tune. It's the oldest known secular English song, and only survived through history because a 13th century monk used the manuscript as a book mark. The old stuff is still the best eh!
I really think that the DS scene is full of quite open minded music fans. People who love this music and have arrived at a love for it through many different paths. I hope artists that push at the edges of the genre a little do gain recognition. There are many that deserve it, not necessarily me, but artists such as Encloaked and yourself who are pushing the quality levels up while introducing your own unique influences... I think DS can only be better for that diversity of sound.

So.... here's another new song completed for the next album. I really wanted to do something that felt like a journey in one piece, so it starts out sounding dark and a little martial, but then gives way to a more melodic and magical section. In the first half I leaned on my trusty Korg as usual, but for the second half I felt the need for something a little more fluid melodically. Being far more fluent on guitar than I am on keys, I pulled out my guitar and connected it to some midi software to get the sounds and feel as I wanted them.
I hope it makes a pleasurable 8 minutes or so for anyone who takes a listen

if I can give you a little advice: do not reveal tracks anymore, or your album will end being a compilation of already youtube-released tracks. To be honest, I support the no-previewing trend of crystallogic13 , though dropping a teaser trailer or track is a good promotion trick.

I already have some material held back, but I'll definitely keep the rest for the album release!

Hey Morphic Sun, can't wait to listen, I enjoyed your previous work a lot so this will be a fast listen ASAP, NYP helps (and appreciated!) on that matter a lot!! Gonna be back with impressions soon!! Looking forward!!
Edit: And I like a lot (new feature? or most do not have it enabled) the "Community" page, in a blog like fashion that Bandcamp has, very helpful and hopefully more people use it instead of just tumblr, instagram or facebook pages!!

Thanks, crystallogic13. I look forward to reading your thoughts. I like the community feature on BC too, it's a new feature that has been implemented in the past few days I think.
