I dunno if I can call it a "real" music video but here you have some visuals from my live show mixed with music from my demo. The idea behind this was to create a oneiric, medieval tale that somehow illustrate the "plot" of the demo. You can view it as a 16-minute-long visual storytelling. This may be especially interesting for people who like old knights&swords movies from the 1960s It's full of scenes from "The Mask of the Red Death", "Lance of Lancelot" and likes.

tomasz.goblynThere is a definite vibe to this, a feeling I've gotten from other dungeon synth and discovered myself from noodling with dinkiest casio toy keyboards, though I can't think of an example that distills it to such a raw essence. The low production quality choices here serve the atmosphere well, the very thin keyboards, sounding like it was recorded from a microphone on the other side of a room, the peaking distortion, it all feels very natural and has this strange feeling... hard to articulate, not usually the kind of thing I look for in dungeon synth necessarily but certainly something I can appreciate, like deja vu of a weird old unremembered dream. It kind of reminds me of the feelings I got from Hekaloth stuff, like Xynfonica and Shevalreq, though this is not as crazy and more pleasant to listen to. Also the visuals perfectly guide this mysterious dusty chintzy knights-of-the-round-table atmosphere of the music. I dig it.

To be honest I had in mind all of these early 90s BM production stories like screaming to the headphones and the likes xd The easiest way to achieve something similar was also the easiest one. The demo was recorded live solely on Yamaha PSS-100 directly on my cellphone recorder. That was it. No mix, no mastering, no additional tracks. Just a toy keyboard with all its limitations.

I don't know if this counts but this was a video I made for my album "the Mansion in the Woods"

magicwillowInteresting idea to have video game footage as visualization for dungeon synth. I'm not entirely sold on it in this case, but I've seen the same sort of thing done quite well for some drum and bass mixes, so I think the idea does have potential. I enjoyed your music here quite a bit though, very mystical and relaxing.
