So I'm looking for martial industrial in the vein of Arditi. I think martial industrial is a very hard to define term, and I personally don't care so much for the industrial part. It's the martial part that really interests me. However, I often run into a problem when exploring this genre: if it's too industrial, it just sounds like noise to me and seems to lack the spirit of the ancient way of life it's trying to evoke. If it's too martial, it sounds too clean, cheesy, and movie soundtrack-ish.
Arditi isn't perfect either; I skip some tracks here and there, but some of it is really stirring:
It's really the grainy effects applied to the sampling and the juxtaposition of two related melodies that grabs my attention, here.
What other artists do something similar?

Triarii is in my opinion in a league of its own. It's quite bombastic and certainly "cleaner" than Arditi, but IMO evokes very majestic imagery. I think what draws me to Triarii is the heaviness in their sound. They are also very, very powerful live.
If you like Arditi, you're probably familiar with Puissance, as they share members? Puissance was always a bit more "hi-fi" and evolved towards a more military pop style direction.

I assume you already know about "The Moon Lay Hidden Beneath a Cloud"? If not, then I feel like their 1997 album "The Smell of Blood but Victory" is somewhat similar to the song you have posted.

I know you say you're not a fan too much of the "industrial" aspect of martial industrial but one of my favorites of all time is Apoptose "Blutopfer". Maybe more of a "spiritual" martial album as it's sourced from the ritual drumming of a Spanish Easter festival but it definitely evokes "the spirit of an ancient way of life" for sure.
After that, my all time favorite is hands down "Fragments of Life, Love, and War" by Der Blaue Reiter.
I second Triarii and Puissance, even the military pop stuff is badass, and would also recommend Le Silence des Ruines. If you like Arditi you might like Leidungr, which is his nordic ritual ambient project.
Personally I prefer Arditi's more industrial work, like Bloodtheism, so our tastes vary but you might like some of these.
