Thanx for the update Arilius, nice to see he eventually was informed about the trip of his music down the years :D Keep us updated if he finds anything in his chests!! p.s. Any update on the hopeless dude that riped them ? Did he get ashamed of himself or dug a hole to get into ? :D I spoke to him in June or July, I believe, and he said he was isolating himself in a cabin in the woods. I did not mention that the truth about "Middle Ages" had been unearthed. He is supposedly going to send me remasters of the "Viduramžiai" audio. I'm sort of selfishly holding off on telling him about all this until I get that audio. I owe TheKeeper an audio rip of the Viduramžiai material, but figured waiting for him to send it to me would save me the trouble of having to rip it myself.

I find it amazing how no rip off would go unpunished, even after 25 years. Well done!

Incredible detective work! Sad to see this release exposed as a fake though, since it's popular and well-known. Next thing you know, we'll find out "The Stargate" was all just stuff Mortiis stole from a guy in Tuva!

Caduceus' long lost Viduramžiai is now on the blog. Seems to be a similar case as Middle Ages, but we're still working on finding all of the original .mod files.

Caduceus' long lost Viduramžiai is now on the blog. Seems to be a similar case as Middle Ages, but we're still working on finding all of the original .mod files. Niice thekeeper and thanx for the finding and the new post. Your blog (along with Asmodian C's DS posts) has been an invaluable resource for unveiling endless early days DS!! Endless respect!! As for the album itself, GREAT share and contribution to the public knowledge, I didn't even know/remember there was another, but most of all thanx to you, arilius and everyone checking up to the great legacy of the demo scene both for uncovering the theft but even more for digging the gems for all of us to see!! Regards!! Edit: Already listening to it, have you found maybe which is the original track that starts at 5:36 of side A (and ends at 10:57)? Really oldschool sounding and full of atmospheres!! Again, so many thanx for this retrieved rarity and for the full extra background check to find the original sources/artists!!

Imagine my surprise when I found out that 1) Dungeon Synth is a thing, and has a history going back into my heyday of mod-writing in the early 90s, and 2) apparently I am one of the people whose song was put onto a release that is well-known among a certain group of people.
I was pointed to it recently on YouTube and hit play and went “yup, that’s it.” Looked on my laptop and I’ve still got the file: LEGENDS.S3M, dated July 16, 1995. 😂

Absurd that this is another theft story, as I had posted elsewhere on here about liking the new age group Cusco and someone replied saying that someone brought their music to a label and tapes were made and then it was discovered some group named "Cusco" made the music originally and not him.
People can be pathetic. I'm a member of a video game high score site and a few people were faking scores over there. I met one of them in person at a gaming expo I attended several times over the years. He was not a well person.

I guessed that maybe Caduceus (real name Gėrimo Namai) A very weird and curious story, however there is NO WAY that this is his real name as it literally means "House of Drinks" and sounds like nothing but a fancy monicker for a liquor store. Trust me, I'm Latvian and know Lithuanian pretty well, having lived there for years at a time. Furthermore, www.discogs.com/artist/406529-McKaras states that this is one of his aliases. Now THAT person is a well-known dark electronic/techno/noise producer within the scene, and HIS real name has slipped my mind at the moment, however I somewhat know him personally, and will try to get to the bottom of this story next time I meet him at the www.MJR.lt festival, which I attend every year. Coincidentally, I have a "Viduramžiai" tape for sale at my discogs. Not cheap though, regardless of this dubious story

FYI, those of us whose original music was used on this were contacted by Dungeon's Deep Records and we have been working with them to provide original modules plus some additional stuff from around the same time-frame to create a reissue with bonus tracks. It finally got announced today, and is due out later this year: http://instagr.am/p/CewFDN-reIT Really cool to see this come around full circle and find this thing that I had no idea existed is now getting a reissue with our blessings.

Cool stuff! So very happy to see this released for real and for the original artists to get credit. I do hope there is a little writeup on the back story or how it was found. It was an interesting find. Side note: I'm a little amused as Rosenthal's involvement, as he was originally quite bitter towards my music (created with trackers) because of a dumb comment I made online. Apparently now he's seen the light and is pro-trackers! Lol.
Really looking forward to this.

I saw this the other day on FB and wanted to comment here how good of a news this is not only for justice being served and the music being credited to its creators, but also for adding up to that some extra tracks making it a wholesome release, as it should.. The GREAT and I mean great Dragonlance inspired cover art is so much fitting, respect for that too and for all involved in uncovering, getting straight and releasing this.. Good stuff, only respect!!

Just purchased the cassette. Cheers to everyone involved in this weird, but relevant story & release.
