Crane & CrescentIn the era after the last Saleo Kings had fallen, Iduin topples again into bloody political turmoil. Barthian soldiers flanked by clockwork sentinels flood the streets of Mavilla. The last desperate hope of the eccentric Count Russo is to re-assemble the ancient Order of Seran, a band of historic noblefolk loyal til death to the Saleo line. However, the Count hasn't revealed to the Freesteaders in his employ that the fulcrum of his gambit is the exhumation of a young girl, a girl who disappeared without a trace five centuries past... Striking out under the banner of the Crane & Crescent, the party takes the stage for their roles in the comedy and tragedy of Kogan & Liet.

I promise to listen when I get a moment to breathe, my friend. Sounds like a great project! I love the art and story concept, good work.
p.s. playing through Legend of Legaia again right now on my jailbroken PS Vita. Really great JRPG people overlook from PSONE era. Really wonderful game. Played it for the first time on a fricking demo disk in 1999(ish). I believe that disk included Einhander and Jersey Devil. Strange and Glorious days!

It is still turn-based, but has a directional combo system; you learn various moves by trying random combos out, fighting certain kinds of enemies. Parts of your attack will strictly be physical, while parts of it use AP for extra damage. This is due to your attached Seru, which is an angelic being which pair bonds with the characters and manifests as a cool rock-bracelet (ha ha) and bestows on them great physical and spiritual strength. There are also spells that expend MP, which your characters can learn by specifically attacking Seru enemies in the world. Its a simple system, but has some good depth. I find that the fights move quickly too.
Music score is nice; ambient, with simple, melancholic melodies. I feel like the composer was still operating within the range and style of the 16-bit era, which was only a couple years removed from Legaia's release. The music of Playstation RPG's quickly became elaborate and full-bodied in after the console became established. Legaia's music is perfect for the setting; A humble trio of characters wandering through a mist-covered, post-human world, seeking to revive the power of creation.
