as the title says, i'm curious to see if there's projects out there explore the wilds of the cosmos beyond our understanding. winter synth that will freeze your soul and force you to experience the totality of knowledge in the universe. dungeon noise that will drive you the brink of insanity and laugh at your attempts to escape.
currently in the midst of my first william sloane novel for context. but all things lovecraftian, noisey, ambient, strange, and concerning are welcome. not looking so much at metal projects since this seems to be a well covered topic in a lot of black/doom metal circles.

I'd like to propose you listen if you hadn't yet Voormithadreth's (Jute Gyte) - "Quest for Iranon", voormithadreth.bandcamp.com/album/the-quest-of-iranon it's the most "Lovecraftian" thing I've ever listened, it's so pleasant to listen yet so evoking of the Lovecraftian atmosphere, dreamy in a surreal way, it's exactly what I think anyone going through H.P.Lovecraft's book for the n-th time would wish to listen to... And imho one of the top ever Dungeon Synth releases (and not only DS, in general, along classics such as Depressive Silence's II/Mourning..

The legendary Endura, of course. Sometimes also written as Endvra.

Thanks so much for all the recommendations! Definitely a fan of Voormithadreth, Humandeath, and Ungl'Unl'Rrlh'Chchch. Slowly working my way through the others as well. Cheers!!

I did this album, which draws from things like Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner and 2001: A Space Oddyssey to subvert the idea of vaguely military, Star Trek-esque explorers going out to find aliens and vanquish the mysteries of the universe. It's quite tonally varied and melodic, with the horror element more in the conceptual side of things rather than in making scary noises - but if you read the accompanying poem it makes sense! sciviasdomini.bandcamp.com/
