Ok I got tonight to listen to Elixir - Moonlight on Black Castle which has been in my /purchased folder for a while (GOOD thing that I immediately download all purchases and store them in a folder).. (The album is great by the way) And just when I thought lets go to the BC page of the album to check it... It takes me to bandcamp main page. (!).. I go to my collection to find it from there and type Elixir and .. nothing(!!), although I had purchased the discography earlier this summer, prior actually to the two releases he made this or last week.. Ok I google for the facebook page and find it www.facebook.com/ElixiRDS/ , no announcements and the link there indeed is the link elixir-dungeon-synth.bandcamp.com which again.. doesn't work (!!!)... Anyone knows anything ? In side news, I don't know if Elixir decided to close store(which is a shame because he has EXCELLENT music) but whatever it is, for bandcamp to even remove things you've purchased even if artist closes page is DAMN LAME. At least on steam I think items not still sold(removed) if you bought them STAY in inventory (I remember an article for 1-2 vanished products but they're like one in thousands and special occasions..).. Again, I f hate it and feel good that I had already got them off there. p.s. In their defense, otherwise BC was/is awesome, comparing it e.g. to beatport etc etc.. p.s. Hope someone has an update on Elixir and status..

He received some Facebook accusations about his source of artwork being blatant copies of other bands' art and logos. The accusations and his response have been since deleted. His final message was something along the lines of "I'm deleting Elixir, its a waste of time and the DS community is too underground" before deleting his Bandcamp and the conversation.
It is possible to set Bandcamp releases as private and have them hidden from the public but not those who have purchased, unfortunately he didn't choose to go that route. Perhaps he will surface again in time.

Strange that people accused him of copying art and logos. His earlier art had some art I've seen elsewhere, but that's fairly typical considering the genre's origins, and his newer stuff seemed to be created for the albums themselves. As for the logos, I can't really say. His newest one was pretty original looking. Too bad he deleted everything. I wasn't too into his music, but it was well composed and presented. The Wandering Caretaker was good, too.

No signs of it now remaining in FB DS page indeed. So, as I get it : - Accusations go on FB about Elixir's artwork. - The whole thing gets eventually deleted. - He decides to leave DS and as a result remove his BC page (his right) but also the way he handles it removes his music from buyers too (damn lame). Now, I will tell that as you can guess by me buying his full discography earlier I do like a lot his music. It was good good DS. BUT, while I think the guy has been bashed probably enough for today, and also putting accusations aside (since I don't even know what's about exactly and if he's on right or wrong side), I do want to point out that what he did is completely unprofessional to say the least (or damn lame as I said earlier). And something last. It caught my eye the other day that he pushed earlier this week 2 releases each including a single track by not even one day between them, one of them being a cover also (Erang's cover) and putting them for 1 euro each. It DID caught my eye in a bad way especially the thing of releasing a cover single song and asking 1 euro. But maybe that's me and my thinking. But on the others he 's totally done wrong decisions , maybe while in fury. Not matter what, his music was really good and I hope he resurfaces one way or another but also has more respect for his buyers. Edit: I forgot, thanx for the update W, appreciated ! Also, if anyone wants to still listen to him (worth your time) all albums are still on Dungeon Synth Archives on youtube. (and since we're at it, I keep mistyping Dungeon Siege instead of Dungeon Synth.. Good times I guess! ) Edit2: and thanx the keeper for The Wandering Caretaker, I didn't know it about it and it's still up at the-wandering-caretaker.bandcamp.com/releases at NYP so I grabbed it, thanx a lot!!

Albums are back on BC, but it seems they'll have to be paid for again.

Indeed you're right, he has a new page at elixirdungeonsynth.bandcamp.com/ . As an obvious result the albums aren't in collections of previous owners like me which is pretty pretty bad looking first on Elixir and second on Bandcamp which even allows this to happen in the first place. Personally I already had them downloaded locally but I do mind them missing from my collection, something he *should* be able to fix. On the bright side good thing he reconsidered and hoping he comes with more good music soon. He also put for NYP the single Erang cover he did (although I don't remember buying his other stuff for 7 euros that are now sold at). Hoping that no more such dramas occur in the scene but as always in tight niche scenes, drama is unfortunately part of the story.

He didn't include the early albums or the new LHN collective thing he posted last week or something either. Weird. He hasn't posted the new page on facebook either, so I hope it's truly his page. One thing he could do is make everything temporarily PWYW so it can be bought for like really small amounts for the sake of being added into previous users collections, and then marking them back up to whatever he wishes after a few days or so.
