any recommended DS that's good as background music for gardening? Not looking for new age music, but for DS which sounds "bucolic" or relaxing.... thanks.

Thanks to you all! I already knew about Monastery, didn't know the other two instead. I will give em a listen, no problem if they're short ones.

I've listened to the rest of Attic Shrines catalogue already, but didn't know about the other two artists. Thanks! Now, I'm looking for dungeon synth inspired by Lovecraft. Does this even exist? I have a Lovecraft book of his short stories and want some appropriate music to listen to in the background while I read it.

I'll take this opportunity to plug Psyclopean (my Lovecraft project) - altrusiangrace.bandcamp.com/

Yep, Psyclopean. It's a split between me and Visions of Ulnahar. The youtube video for the album will be up soon and I'll post it under my thread in Chambers when it's ready.

oh yes, it was a great pleasure to support his album "Yeoman's Tale" back then! I literally devoured that!

Was wondering if there was any good DS explicitly inspired by ancient Greek or Roman music/myths? Maybe I have overlooked some releases but I feel as though that is an area that could be a great inspiration. I know I have been looking into the area for future projects myself.

Hmm.. As a Greek I'd definitely like to see some more of Greek/Roman inspired stuff.. But out of the top of my head - the very recent one from Sidereal Fortress - Odyssey (strongly recommended!) .. (Stormcrow's project) - another great gem is 2017's Golden Fleece - "The Journey To Colchis".. - I'd also include Andrew's Valscharuhn - Seven Wonders of the Ancient World is of course related to Ancient Greece thematically and is a classic imho.. I'm pretty f sure there has to be more of Greek themed stuff but nothing actually comes to mind besides the above.. Some stuff comes to mind but soundwise I couldn't connect the dots.. There are also more than a few greek Dungeon Synth artists but I can't also remember a record themed after ancient Greek themes.. Though again, I may forget .. Arthuros I think definitely is kinda inspired by Mount Olympus stuff If I've got it right.. You should also definitely check some ancient themed music , there must be a specific thread with recommendations around here on that specific.. Hopefully some more people add up to the knowledge base
