Not black metal influenced stuff though, please.

I've got a song on my debut album called "Always Winter" that leans into synthwave territory but it's got a lead guitar solo in it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=byRSNZ13KhI(starts at 7:00) I've also recorded some shreddy guitar solos for another DS project that I'm probably not at liberty to disclose right now, but I'll post again when the songs are available for listening.

Eternal Fear - Church Mirage, on the "Pagan Souls Of Ryczyn ... Zvantevith" is a rare example of guitar on a DS album that is any good. There's also some bass guitar on there, too.

I believe that Secret Stairways used electric guitar on a few tracks.

I believe that Secret Stairways used electric guitar on a few tracks. Came here to mention this. I'm not too sure about the other tracks, but there is an electric guitar in the first track of the "Enchantment of the Ring " album.

Galdur were the first band I thought of. They've used guitars before and though they clearly have some influence from Summoning, there's no aggression or intensity in their sound. Usually it just sits right at the back of the mix and thickens up the synth sounds - wonderful stuff in any case, see what you think: Galdur - Age of Legends (2016) - www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTpRQS1LDiw

Though I'd mention just in case (And indeed Age of Legends is always a good recommendation )

A bunch of the Uruk-Hai material has bass and electric guitar in various parts. Fair warning, his catalog is overwhelming at first.

Well, not Dungeon Synth but, regarding instrumental songs with huge DS atmospheres and effectively using guitar, while already mentioned both again in different thread and posts, I'd like to bring up again Starlit - Ataraxis by the Lustre dude, EXCELLENT stuff as always
and also remention how great(and classic) Emperor's "The Wanderer" (from Anthems...") is :

I'm going to copy crystallogic and share an artist that's black metal but who perfectly captures that dungeon synth vibe. Talashar's synthy-heavy sound always feels like it's got one foot rooted in old ambient music while the other's firmly planted in the realm of atmospheric black metal. I get the sense he could honestly drop most of the instrumentation and start calling himself DS. Good stuff - even if you aren't into black metal, you might find some of the melodies stuck in your head.
(I spent like half an hour trying to remember what this band was called and ended up trawling through a good chunk of the 2016 releases on the Black Metal Promotion channel)

I don't know if the original poster had this in mind, but listening this right now and I immediately thought of this thread So, without further ado, I think it's worth a look of Grol the Goblin approach on this in his last album here : grolthegoblin.bandcamp.com/album/power-goblinMr. Grol here tries to marry DS with modern metal instruments, I think his (unique?) take of going simultaneously with both sounds and not having distinctive parts of each, is certainly interesting and gives way to think how it could be expanded!! While I'm still digesting and and certainly dunno if I personally "like"(=of my taste) the end result, still thinking it's certainly worthwhile to check at least, I think the only con I could find is that I would maybe prefer the metal instruments sounding more old/ancient/etc rather than the crisp, modern completely clear sound that they have, I'd prefer it more lofi I guess but I think maybe just more "dry" even would be more fitting with the DS side of things. But still, I think the dude has succeeded in creating a different kind of monster, I still listen to it on repeat currently and kinda get rolling with it!!
